Butterflies and Poppies in Tangerine Tango

I love the Butterflies and Poppies.  I was on a roll a while back with the Swallowtail stamp in the Stampin'Up! Spring Catalog, page 18.

I stamped the large image in VersaMark, then used Early Espresso Stampin' Emboss Powder. Heat set with the Stampin' Heat Tool and let cool.

Use the Aqua Painter with Classic inks to color the images, on the stems of the poppies I used a Blender Pen with Classic inks.

I love the Friendly Phrases stamp set.  I use it all the time, but sadly it's on the retiring stamp list.  There's still time to order this and other retiring items before they are gone. SHOP ONLINE NOW

Sneak Peek!

It's been a few days since my last post!  With Field Day at my daughters school, and then 3 days of soccer at a tournament across town, it was back to work and time to post again.

Here's a SNEAK PEEK, it's one of the NEW In Colors that comes out with the NEW annual Stampin'Up! catalog.  It starts May 31, 2013.  I am so excited, Crisp Cantaloupe is so pretty!

I used the Secret Garden Bundle from the Spring mini catalog, and yes they will be in the new catalog.  The stamp set and framelits work so well together.

Outdoor Lab cards

Ashley went to Outdoor Lab last week at Mt Evans.  I made a few cards for her and sent them along so she would have mail during the week.  5 days in the mountains!  They got rained on, snowed on and hailed on, but had a great time.  

I used one of her favorite images, it's from the Button Buddies stamp, it's retiring the end of this month.  Love the pink pigs!  Both Button Buddies and the color Pretty in Pink are retiring.  So stock up on retiring supplies before they are gone.  

Did you see the wavy lines on the white card stock?  I used my Borders Scoring Plate for the Simply Scored tool.  It's easy to add fun and fast details.

Mother's Day cards

Here's the other two cards from my last class: pretty cards for birthdays and Mother's Day. There are close up's of the cards and supplies used.  When you come to class you have the joy of stamping without having to buy all the supplies to make the cards.  It's all Stampin'Up! products, but some are retiring, so be sure to order your retiring Stampin'Up! products before they are gone!

Use Stampin' Spritzer with Shimmer Paint (retiring) and alcohol to give the whole card a shine.  Mix 5-7 drops of paint and fill with 70% alcohol, shake and spritz.

For the flower I used the same mixture as above, but also added a few drops of Island Indigo ink refill.

Flower Trim Card

My last class featured pretty cards for birthdays and Mother's Day. Here's a close up one card and supplies we used.  We used all Stampin'Up! products, but some are retiring, so be sure to order your retiring Stampin'Up! products before they are gone!

I love the Color Spritzer tool!  It's great for a little splatter in any color you want, all you need is a marker. 

Another product I love is the Flower Trim in the Spring Catalog, page 5. Vintage dimensional flowers on strips of tulle.  I love how you can cut then apart to use on different projects.  And with the Stampin' Spritzer you can make them any color your want.  I used Summer Starfruit ink refill with alcohol in the spritzer to color the flowers. 

I got this idea from the Stampin' Success Magazine.  It's a great magazine that all Stampin'Up! Demonstrators get, and it's filled with great ideas to share.
