Owls!

Look at the cute owls my friend, and downline, Erin Anderson made.  She makes very cute boxes and other favors.  The heads of the owls is the Sizzix Big Shot Top Note die.  Then she used some of the Stampin'Up! Circle Punches for eyes, and Stampin'Up! Heart Punches for the nose and feet.  A Scallop Oval Punch is on the front chest of each Owl.  I just love punch art, so many cute ideas out there.  This one would be great for some treats for anyone.

You can order all these supplies from Stampin'Up!  CLICK HERE to shop online through my website.  Contact me for questions, and to place orders any time.

Fall Leaves

I love all the changing leaves in the Fall.  Growing up in AZ meant not seeing much as far as the changing leaves go, but it did mean it was finally getting a little cooler outside!  I love living in Colorado so I can see the leaves change every year now.  The Maple tree in my front yard is starting to change, the aspens should be changing here soon.

We went for a drive Sunday up to the mountains to see the changing leaves.  It was a nice drive up through Morrison to Evergreen.  The lake was beautiful!  It made us wish we had a canoe to go out on the lake for a while.  Doesn't that sound nice to just relax out on the lake?

We love to go look at the leaves every year, this may not have been the best year for us as far as what we saw, but it was still fun.  Here are a few pictures of the fall leaves from our drive.  It makes me want to get out my French Foliage stamp set and make some more fall cards and scrapbook too.

Here is a great page showing some beautiful fall leaves.
Just think of all the fun you can have using Day of Gratitude and French Foliage stamps with your own fall photos!  Contact me to order these or any other great stamps or ORDER HERE online.

Here are some more pictures of the leaves.  We saw lots of yellow aspens, but guess we would need to go farther to see the orange and reds that I love.  These pictures are up past the lake at Evergreen, off Upper Bear.  Then we took another road and found this great walking/hiking area near Mt. Evans.

We even drove by the Outdoor Lab area where Jeffco students can spend a week and learn all about the outdoors.  The 6th graders at my daughters school will be going next week.  This was great for us to see since our daughter will be going in 2 years.   It was pretty up here, but looks very dry.

Enjoy!

Candy Wrapper Bats Kit

Did you see these cute bats you can make using the Candy Wrapper die?
My friend Erin made a bat for me and I am hooked.  I just love how easy they are, and how cute.  I think they will be a big hit at my daughter's Halloween party at school!

I made them in gray and black, with teeth and without.  Hmm, which is your favorite?  For the gray bat I used silver brads instead of twisting the card stock to close.  I love this die, with all the score marks you can just push and twist to get them to stay closed for the bat wings and the treats stay inside.

Buy the kit to make your own bats!
10 bats for $5.00

--  Each kit contains 10 bats (still flat, so you can have the fun of making them)
--  20 white and 20 black punched circles for eyes
--  20 white squares for teeth

Order as many bats as you need, minimum 10 bats.

Fall Cards

Here are the cards from my last class, hope you all enjoy!

Here are all 3 cards, you might remember the leaf card on the right from an earlier posting, September 10, 2010.

Paisley Prints is a fun stamp set to use, I used the matching wheel, Paisley Party with Versamark on the rectangles in the background too.  The Rock-n-Roll technique was perfect with the leaves and pumpkins to make it pop.
Colors used:  Chocolate Chip, Cajun Craze, So Saffron, Garden Green, Peach Parfait and Very Vanilla.
I saw a card at convention with a similar idea and this is what I came up with.

This card is from my friend Crista, I just loved getting this in our demonstrator swap, so I used it for the class.  For the class I used Crumb Cake and Early Espresso, and smooched it with the Gold and Log Cabin Smooch sprays.  Too much fun.
Below is another version of her card, she used Tangerine Tango for this one, how pretty.

French Foliage was the last card we did, see the supply list for this one on September 10.

Contact me for more details or to place an order.

Enjoy the week!

Holiday Mini and Fabric

I am feeling the changes in the seasons.  Love the new Holiday mini with so many fun ideas and new items.  I have been doing a lot with Fall, but here are some fun things looking on to other holidays...

I just love the plates and mug using Decor Elements Candy Cane Christmas.  Putting the Decor Elements onto a plate or mug could not be easier!  The cute tag turns this a great gift for anyone.  Hand wash these dishes and you can enjoy them for a long time.  I have a mug with decor elements on it that I have been using for a year now.  I can even heat my coffee up in the microwave, no problem.  There is a microwave chocolate cake recipe that works great in these mugs too!  Contact me for it.

Fabric from Stampin'Up!

I never really though about using fabric on my cards, but hmmm, that sounds fun and looks great.

Just think of all the fun you can have now?  This card shows the new Big Shot die Tasteful Trim.  How cute, this die works well with fabric and paper.  My friend Crista just used this die and then ran the paper through the embossing folder too, what a cute card.  She got the idea from Patty Bennett.  Look for the card next week on my blog.

How about making a cute tree skirt with the fabric and ornaments too!  This room is more retro than my kitchen, but I thought is was so cute with the little tree and love all the card ideas.

What can you do with fabric in your crafting?
Have a wonderful weekend.

Halloween Candy Wrapper Bat

Look at this cute idea from my friend Erin.  She took a candy wrapper and turned it into a bat!

I loved this idea so much that I am using this idea for part of my Halloween Stamp Camp. Look for more pictures on this soon.  There will be pumpkins, bats and cards to make.

The Candy Wrapper die for the Big Shot is in the Holiday mini catalog.  How do you get this fun die and have everyone love your little treats?  Order online at my website 24/7,or contact me to place your order.

Look for more samples of this great die soon.  I am loving it!

More fun Convention photos

Here are some more photos from Convention.  I loved all the fun displays, the more you look at the photos, the more you will find. I love being able to share all this through my blog with you.  Enjoy!

Here is one of our Art Journals all decorated up.  I just love the Simply Sent kits!  This one is my favorite.  The thing I love most about the Simply Sent kits they offer now is that the stamps are separate from the card kits, so you can keep ordering more cards if you need.  Love the little flowers on this one.  You get 8 cards and envelopes for $11.95.  Perfect for some quick and fun cards to send out, and you can add your own personal touch if you want.

Just think how much fun you could have with all these party decorations.  Those cupcakes are so cute!

Check out the tree!  I thought this would be fun on a front window.  I like it even better on a frame that I can put up on the wall anytime I want.

More fun ideas for the holidays, this picture is just filled with them.

Close up of the jars.  They look so pretty with the ribbons and tags.
Love the decor trees in the background.
Did you see the Candy Countdown Calendar Kit in the Holiday mini?  Here they are on the cabinet, it looked so festive.  More great trees on the windows too.  I think I am talking myself into getting some for the holidays?

Where am I finding all these fun cabinets full of goodies that look good enough to eat?  The Color Confections!
Enjoy and have a great day!

Haunted Design-a-house

Check out the fun house you can build from the new Holiday mini catalog, page 37.
I saw some fun ideas at convention.  Here is a Haunted house to make for Halloween, it's hard to see the sparkle, but here is how it's done.  Put the house together, cover with black spray paint.  While the paint is still wet sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds glitter on it!  What a great effect.

Order supplies here, and click on shop now, or email your order to me at tam_morton@earthlink.net
Orders can be shipped direct to your address, and orders of $150 or more qualify for hostess benefits!  What does that mean?  Free stamps and other merchandise of course.
Contact me with any questions.

The house is in the left corner bottom, but hard to see.  This next one is a little better.
Wouldn't it be fun to do all this for your house?

Fun Punches!

These great cards are from my Punch Card Class, and were so much fun to make!
Contact me for a kit of the punched cards from this class if you could not attend.  You get 6 cards in the set for $10, plus shipping cost if you live far.  Card stock is cut and scored, I did the punching and Big Shot work from the class, you just need to stamp and put together.  Contact me at tam_morton@earthlink.net to order.

Pansy Watercolor Card
I have seen lots of variations on this card, and what fun!  Here are the supplies I used and how I made those fun pansies.  The great thing about the Shimmery White card stock is the sparkle you get when you are done.  It may not show up that well here, but I love how it looks when the light hits it.  Contact me for more information at tam_morton@earthlink.net.
Supplies:
Perfect Punches and Sincere Salutations stamp sets
Card stock:  Very Vanilla, Elegant Eggplant and Shimmery White
Ink:  Elegant Eggplant ink pad and refill, Daffodil Delight refill
Big Shot with Manhattan Impression Folder and Top Note die
Butterfly, Wide Oval  and Large Oval Punches
Rhinestone Brads and the NEW Jewels - Rhinestones

Butterfly Pansies

1.     Punch out two butterflies from Shimmer White cardstock (two for each flower).
2.     Spritz them with water (allowing the water to puddle and pool).
3.     Load Aqua Painter with Eggplant Envy ink (from a re-inker)  and touch the brush to the outer edges of the butterflies.   The ink will spread, but you might have to "help" it along.
4.     Touch the middle with Daffodil Delight Ink (from a re-inker)
5.     Let mostly dry (you can let sit, dab a little off, or heat set)
6.     Curl or push up edges so flower curls up a little.
7.     Adhere one butterfly crosswise over the other one by using a brad, or glue together and put a Jewel on top.

Concord Bird Card
The ideas for this card and the vase card came from other great stampers at convention, where we swapped card fronts to get more fun ideas.  I just stepped it up a little with this card.
Supplies:
Vintage Jumbo Wheel and Great Friend stamp set
Card Stock:  Concord Crush, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White
Ink:  Concord Crush
Two Step Bird and Eyelet Border punches
Daffodil Delight 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Flower Vase Card
This is fun, and to mail just fold the flowers down, and slip in a note telling them to fluff the flowers.
Supplies:
Teeny Tiny Wishes
Card stock:  Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black and Whisper White
Ink:  Basic Black
Two step Bird, 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, Ornament, Modern Label, Word Window punches
Big Shot and Square Lattice Impression Folder

I had so much fun at the Stampin'Up! Convention in Salt Lake City!
Here are a few pictures of the fun, plus my swap at Convention.  First a picture at the Flower Power Party with Shelli Gardner, Cofounder and CEO of Stampin'Up!  My roommates Gina and Kim and I posed for a picture with Shelli and her husband.  What a fun party, peace love and stamping!

Here is my upline Tara and me at the Flower Power Party.

Check out some of the fun things they were demonstrating at the party.
So many cute baby things in one place!

Here are some fun goodies, all made with Stampin' Up! products.

Fun Halloween ideas from Spencer Willis.  You can find some of these great products in the new Holiday mini catalog.  Check it out online here.
Look what you can do with Decor Elements!

Decor Elements on windows.  You cannot see the tree that well on the lower right side, but you can see my shadow in the other glass.  Enjoy the photos and look for more soon!
Here is the swap I did for convention to trade ideas with others, and I got tons of new ideas.  I just love the Marina Mist with Daffodil Delight in this card.
