Beautiful Heart Big Shot card

June means that Stampin'Up! released the Retiring Stamps and Accessories, AND it means that we say goodbye to current Hostess Stamp sets too.  One of my favorite Hostess sets going away is Punch Potpourri.  I got the idea for this card from my friend Glenda Timkovich.  I loved it so much we made this card at my last Big Shot class.
How did we make this card?  Here are photos of the steps to making this card.  There were quite a bit of Big Shot supplies needed, but that is what made it so fun!  Click on the photos to see bigger images.
Supplies used...
Stamps:  Punch Potpourri-Hostess set
Colors:  Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand, Certainly Celery and Very Vanilla
Movers and Shapers Punch Windows, Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Full Heart and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punches
Use the brayer and sponge directly on the embossing folder.  The ink will stay on the surface, the embossed lines stay lighter.  This is a fun technique, try it!
I used the Movers and Shapers Heart after adhering the embossed paper to the card.  I chose this so that it would frame out the inner heart punch I used later in the card.
Face down on the die, it has a smoother cut.

Now you have a beautiful heart cut into the front of your card.
Use the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (that's a long name!) and adhere along one edge of the Crumb Cake, then put on your wide ribbon.
The Pink Pirouette ribbon is still on the Clearance Rack, so you can buy it online!
Here's the completed card.  When stamping the heart, I found it looked better if I stamped off first with the Sahara Sand, then used marker for the flowers.
