Pennant Parade Christmas card

You might remember the card I did using the Pennant Parade stamp set a few weeks ago?  I designed this card for a demonstrator swap I am in, and swapped a few of those cards at the Stampin'Up! convention in July.  CLICK HERE to see the card I did for my swap.
After I made that card, I thought it would be fun to change up the colors and make it as a Christmas card.  I love how versatile this stamp set is.  But now that I look at this card, I am thinking "how can I add a little bling?"  Hmmm, I will have to get back to you with a new post on that.
Supplies for Christmas card:
Pennant Parade stamp set, Whisper White, Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Peach Parfait, VersaMark, clear emboss, Petite Pennant Builder Punch, Lace Ribbon Border Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Polka Dot Emboss Folder.
This was the first card I made, then I changed the colors because I wanted it to pop more. This card has Whisper White, So Saffron and Baja Breeze.

Convention 2011 displays

I am back from the Stampin'Up! Convention in Utah a week ago, and just wanted to share a few fun photos.  The staff really goes all out creating fun displays for us to look at.  I love to photograph all these great ideas, and then I hope to recreate a few later.  Looking at these fun projects helps me to see products in ways I may not have before.  But now I want them all.  (I think that was the staff's plan, right?)  By the way, you have no idea how hard it was to get some of these pictures without all the people in them!  This was a great place to walk around and look every day.  Some of the displays just kept growing as Convention went on.
Imagine having these flowers in your house?
Just Add Cake, what a nice display of fun ideas.
Delicate Doilies and Flirtatious Designer Series Paper.
This would be a fun place to sit and relax, or craft.
So I asked a staff person how long it took to make all this?  They start 1-3 months ahead on these great displays.  And you haven't see all the boards of cards and other projects yet either!
Pocketful of Posies, I saw so many cute things using these products!  They are on my wish list now.
Berry Blossoms, what beautiful colors!
Look at this cute wagon, it has items from the Stampin'Up! Starter Kit.  What a clever idea.  So I had to include a photo of all the things you get in the standard starter kit too.
Have you ever thought about being a Stampin'Up! demonstrator?  You would be amazed at how easy it is to do this.  Stampin'Up! provides lots of creative ideas and resources.  What amazes me most is all that I have learned and all the wonderful friends I have made doing this.  I look back at my first cards and smile, I have come a long way!  Let me help you get started.
This beautiful Christmas box kit can be yours when you sign up to be a demonstrator during July.  You get one kit with your first demonstrator order, and the person who signs you up gets a kit too.  Each kit makes one box, but if you are not sure about building this kit yourself, let's make them together!  See more details on the $99 Starter Kit HERE.  You can sign up, or see more details on the link below to the Promotions Page on my website.  Contact me with questions or to sign up!

Bold Blossom card

I saw this cute idea on Stampin' Connection (a website for Stampin'Up! Demonstrators), by Debbie Currier.  I thought it was cute, so I changed it up a bit (colors and accessories) and used it for my Open House at the end of June.  It uses the new Triple Layer Punch Blossom Bouquet and the Bold Blossom stamp set from the Summer Mini catalog.  I love the little pearl in the middle of each flower, it gives it a little bling.
Supplies:  Bold Blossom stamp set, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz, Big Shot with Polka Dot emboss folder, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Jewels-Basic Pearls, dimensionals.

Convention Swap 3x3 cards

While at the Stampin'Up! Convention in Salt Lake City last week, I enjoyed swapping card ideas with other demonstrators.  Here's the 3x3 card swap I did.  Wow, I loved all the cards I got in return. Thanks Virginia Killmore for organizing this swap!
I got the inspiration for this card from my friend Jan Myers.  She did some beautiful bags with card sets for another swap.  I loved how she layered the Pennant die with the Delicate Doilies on her bag, and thought it would be great in a monochromatic card.  So thanks Jan for the idea!  You can see her bag my July 16, posting, CLICK HERE.
Supplies:
Delicate Doilies stamp set, Big Shot with Polka Dot emboss folder, Perfect Pennants die, Circles #2 die, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White card stock, Whisper White Craft ink with White embossing powder, 1-3/4" Circle Punch.
Here's all 81 swaps when I was done!  Okay, so I had to use my Big Shot three times for every card, but it was worth it, I love how it turned out!

Convention Swaps - Black and White

I had so much fun at the Stampin'Up! Convention in Salt Lake City, so now that I am back it's time to start sharing all those great ideas with all of you.  I enjoyed swapping card ideas with other demonstrators, so here's a card I made to trade with others in an organized Black and White swap. I had a few extras to swap in the general session too, I hope you enjoy.
Check back Friday to see my 3x3 card swap.
Elements of Style is such a wonderful set, so I thought it was perfect for this card.  I wanted layers and texture to give this a striking, but elegant look, so after stamping, I ran the card stock through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I love punches so I could not resist using a few on this card.  For the final touch I added a little bling too with the Rhinestone.
Supplies for Black and White card swap:
Elements of Style, Whisper White card stock, Basic Black card stock and classic ink, Big Shot with Square Lattice emboss folder, Circle Punches 1-1/4" and 1-3/8", Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Jewels-Rhinestone, dimensionals, snail.
You may wonder how do you come up with these things, or how do you have the room to work on all this?  Well, no matter how big the table is, I always find myself working in a very small area, usually only about 12" x 12"  Why is that?
You can see this is not a big space, corner of the table.  I had lots of different ideas, and had to decide on one.  So if you think you don't have space, just think about how little room you need to really stamp.  I use a 12x12 cutting mat sometimes, it's great for moving my stuff into the kitchen table to work, and then move it back out again.
Here's another idea I thought about.  I made this card in Perfect Plum a few months back, and thought it would be great in Black and White too.
