Inspired By Nature

Here's a switch.  Not posting a holiday idea.  I just love this stamp set, Inspired By Nature.  I admit it was not my favorite when it first came out quite a while ago, but then I used it at a past Stampin'Up! convention.  LOVE IT!

Look at some the beautiful cards I have made with this stamp set in the past.  It is one that I am happy to go back to again and again.  It's a great stamp set for Fall, but works any time of year.

make n take - Stampin'Up! Convention

This fun card is what got me loving this set.  There was also a gift bag we used with Whisper White Craft ink on Tangerine Tango.  Wish I could find the picture of it.
Passed card class project
The idea for this beautiful card came from that same Stampin'Up! convention.  Someone did a demonstration on stage with Upsy Daisy using these colors and I loved it, but didn't have that set.  So I thought this was a great solution.  Sponge daubers work great on the flower side of this stamp.
Colors:  Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White.
passed card class project
I love the colors on this card, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive.  What a great fall combo.  I used the sponge daubers on the flowers on this one too.  The distressing tool is great for roughing up the edges of the Very Vanilla card stock.  Still love this card, it was my favorite until I did the one below.
workshop make n take
This beautiful card was made using Watercolor Crayons.  If you mist the rubber before coloring the crayon directly on the rubber you can get a wonderful effect when you stamp it.  This card is just one more reason why I love the Stampin'Up! Watercolor Crayons.  I hope they will be available again soon.
Colors:  So Saffron, Elegant Eggplant, Confetti White.

October Holiday Cards

Cards from my Holiday October Card Class.  They were fun and easy to make, best of all they are all easy to mail!  I hope these cards inspire you.  They were fun to make, and I cannot wait to do more cards for the holidays.  My next Holiday card class is the second weekend in November, RSVP to attend.

Contact me if you are looking for holiday card ideas, I am here to help.
Check my calendar HERE on my Stampin'Up! website to see my schedule.

These holiday card were fun to make, but I don't think the photo does them justice.  The White snowflake card is so pretty in person.  The idea is from another demonstrator at Convention in July 2010.  I wish I could remember her name, but all I have is the photo on my camera, it didn't remember to get a name.

The blue and crumbcake card was from Patty Bennett's website, and the green ornament card came from someone I saw on Splitcoaststampers.com.  I looked at so many fun ideas I sorry I cannot remember her name.

Days of Gratitude

Here is a fun card for the holidays or anytime.  I love the colors!  I saw a small 3x3 card on Patty Bennett's blog that I just loved.  I changed it to a standard size 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card and after I stamped the greeting I realized this would be a great Christmas card if I changed the greeting. I love the Pearl in the middle too, it's a great way to and a little special something to the card, but it is still easy to mail.

Stamp Set:  Days of Gratitude from the Holiday mini catalog
Card stock:  Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink:  Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso
Accessories:  1" Circle Punch, Jewels - Basic Pearls

Using Window Sheets on Christmas cards

Here are some fun cards I made last year.  Each of these cards used pieces of window sheets on them and they were so much fun to make!

First is the Top Note die, I used it as a frame for the card and sponged Whisper White craft ink on the window sheet to give it a frosted look.  Season of Friendship is a fun stamp set, and I love the snowflake punch!

I love this one using Lovely as a Tree.  I thought the dark background was great with the silver ink and silver emboss on the center tree.  Some Whisper White craft ink sponged around the edges was a great finish.
This was a fun card to make.  I love the Penguin in Punch Pals and used the window sheet for the snowflakes in the sky. Tear your Whisper White card stock to make hills of snow, then use a little 2 way glue with Dazzling Diamonds glitter for a great winter look.

Here is another card I made, it's almost the same design on the front, but  no window sheet, and it holds a gift card inside.
Hope these cards inspire you for your own holiday cards. Enjoy!

Big Shot class with Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla

Don't those colors sound like something yummy to eat?  I think so.
I found more pictures from my Big Shot class.  I thought some close up photos would be great, but the bookmark just did not come out so good.  Here are the rest of the photos for you to enjoy, maybe this will inspire you too.
The projects were easy to make, and went together quickly.
Having a monochromatic palette can be easy, but looks so nice!

Below is the card that inspired it all.  Thanks to my friend Crista and her swap from our demonstrator swap.

Crista's card gave me the color palette I wanted to work with and it took off from there.  I just love the colors, so pretty and rich.  Plus the Top Note die is always fun to use in so many ways.

I wanted to do a scrapbook page, and saw a layout in the Stampin'Up! catalog that I liked.  I changed the colors, did my own little something to it and wow, I love this page.  Now I just need to make a few more and put in some photos!

My friend Mel made little treat holders using the scallop envelope die and gave them to all her roommates at Convention (I was one of those lucky people!).  I liked the idea so much that I offered a similar holder for a make-n-take at my Open House in August using Daffodil Delight.  For this Big Shot Class  I used the yummy Cherry Cobbler card stock and voila!  I just love these new colors from Stampin'Up!

Pop-Up Look Here card

Look what I found!  This picture of a totally fun card I made for one of Ashley's friends.
Sometimes last minute gifts can be fun!  When I first got the Pop-Up Look Here die for my Big Shot I thought this will be fun!  It took a little work to get the folds right, but I finally got it.

Then I offered it as a card at a class last year, okay the cards were cute, but it took longer than I ever thought it would to make those cards.  A few ladies said it was the gift just to make the card. So I put it away for a few months.  BUT,  I pulled it out when I needed a gift card holder for one of Ashley's friends.  I did a punch art sundae card (similar to something last year from Stampin' Success) and amazingly this card went together a lot faster than I remember doing them!  Was it practice, or was it just an easier inside design?  hmmm.  Either way I like this die again.  Cannot wait to use it for more gift cards.

With the holidays right around the corner this die will be great for gift cards!

Here is the card I offered at a class last year.  I think adding that second piece of card stock on the inside made it a little more work to put together.  But they are fun to give and even more fun to receive.
