Embossed You are Loved card

Sorry I have not posted in days.  I had the flu for a week!  I am so glad to be feeling better and ready to share more ideas with you.

Here's a nice card for Valentines day, or any other day you want to tell someone you love them.  I love the emboss resist technique, and this card shows it off well.

If you need to make a bunch of cards, this also works well.  I cut all the card stock first, then on the Very Vanilla rectangle I did the emboss resist steps, and all the stamping.  Then backed the rectangle with Soft Suede and used Dimensionals to adhere it to the card front.  It's a beautiful effect and I have a bunch of them ready now to send.

Pool Party Shimmering Butterfly

I love the new Swallowtail stamp in the new Spring mini catalog from Stampin'Up!, on page 18.

I love this stamp image and it works so well when you emboss the image and color it.  

Look on page 19 of the Stampin'Up! spring catalog, it shows a great technique, and I tried it!  
  1. Stamp the butterfly image in VersaMark ink (
  2. Emboss with Pool Party Stampin' Emboss Powder (mini-page 12)
  3. Brush Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint over the butterfly using your Aqua Painter
  4. Heat set with Heat Tool
Look at the shimmer!  Love it!

Valentine - an old favorite

Here's one of my favorite cards from last year.  I made one in Soft Suede and Very Vanilla for an anniversary and then this one for a Valentine's class, but it would be great for weddings and anniversaries or just to show your love.

Valentine Heart Banner card

I love this Happy Valentine Heart Single Stamp.  It's so fun and easy to use.  I was making another card using my Hearts a Flutter Framelits, another fun product in the Stampin'Up! Spring mini (page 11), and thought it needed a bigger heart.

Have you seen the Core'dinations card stocks yet?  I used some of the Primrose Petals on this card, just run the card stock through your Big Shot with an Embossing Folder then run a sanding block over it for a great effect!  I love how it really shows off the cloud texture on the banner.  Love it!

3x3 Valentine

Here's a quick little 3x3 Valentine using the Hearts a Flutter stamp set and Framelits from the Stampin'Up! Spring mini catalog.  The Framelits make it so easy to make lots of hearts for all your Valentine needs. 

Stamp your image first and then line up the framelit so it cuts it out perfectly. To keep your framelits from moving when they go through the Big Shot use a post-it note to keep your framelit in place.

Fun New Card Ideas

Look at these great cards!  I love all the fun ideas that my friends and I shared with our last card swap.  Everyone make 9 of the same card and then we traded so we would all have our card, plus 8 other new ideas from the Stampin'Up! Spring mini catalog.

Every time there is a new catalog offering we get together and swap ideas.  The rules are all current SU supplies, use something NEW and have fun!  
Some of these fun ideas are original, but there are quite a few that were CASEd, or copied.  I hope you enjoy them all, I will be posting more photos of all these swaps over the next few weeks.  You can see more information on my swap HERE.

Being a demonstrator is a lot of fun, I get to meet new people and enjoy lots of stamping time too.  But I don't just come up with original ideas all the time.  We all like to copy each others ideas.  Sometimes I copy it exactly, or other times change a few things like a different color or stamp.  Sometimes looking at someone else's ideas is a great springboard to new ideas too.

Stampin'Up! Single Stamps- 10 NEW images

With a great response to the experiment with single stamps, Stampin'Up! has released more. Ten new images available as single stamps available through July 31, 2013. Details You can find the stamp item numbers on the flyers or in my Online Store HERE. Single stamps can be ordered in the online store. These won't be sent in our typical cases or packaging; they'll be packaged in cello bags. If you'd like a case for your stamp, you can buy our Clear-Mount Stamp Cases that come in packs of four (item 119105). This offer is available for clear-mount stamps only. The stamps won't come with a Clear-Mount Block, and you'll need to buy a block separately if you don't already have one. The recommended block sizes can be found on the flyer.  There's no limit on how many pieces you can buy. Hearts a Flutter swap card

Here's the card I made for a swap I am in with other demonstrators.  We just did our swap this week and I am so excited for all the great ideas I have now.  

Hope you enjoy, this was a fun card to make and I used lots of fun supplies from the Spring catalog.  The Pool Party embossing powder is so great!
