Bells & Boughs Holiday Card

Here is a great holiday card using the stamp set Bells and Boughs out of the Holiday mini catalog.
This was one of the cards at a recent holiday workshop.  Friends got together to make some holiday cards, and sing happy birthday to the hostess.  How about that for a great excuse to see your friends on your birthday. I was so happy to share the time with them.

It is one of the stamps in the Holiday Bundle sale, so you can save 20% when you buy the bundle of this set and Designer Series Paper.  CLICK HERE to see all the sale items, plus some fun project ideas.

I love the watercolor look of this card.  Maybe that is why I like using the aqua painters.  This is so much easier for me than when I used to paint with watercolors.

Supplies:  Bells and Boughs stamp set and clear blocks; StazOn Black ink; Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and So Saffron inks; Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla card stock; Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon and Aqua Painters.

There is still time to plan your holiday projects, contact me for ideas on your holiday crafting plans!  You can also host a workshop for you and your friends to make cards together!  Contact me to pick a date for your party soon, or schedule something for after the holidays to make Thank You cards, birthday cards, or start those Valentine cards.

Stencil bag with tags

Here are a couple of the projects from my Holiday Bags and Tags class last weekend.  There were lots of fun tags using great stamp sets like Tags till Christmas, Delightful Decorations and Baroque Motifs, and lots of Stampin'Up! punches.    Hope to see you at a class soon.

This white bag was stenciled with the Mostly Vintage Decor Stencil, we used Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and Whisper White.  I love using my Big Shot with the Two Tags and Snowflake dies, they are perfect for the holidays.  The Eyelet Border  and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punches worked well together too.  The idea for these tags came from Julie Davis, I changed the colors and used some different punches and paper.  I love how fun they look and how easy they are to make!

Snowflakes are fun!

I love all the ideas I have been seeing for Holiday cards!
So today I am sharing fun ideas with snowflakes.

Here is an idea I played with using the snowflake punch a while back, what do you think?  It was simple yet fun to make.

Here are a few fun ideas I wanted to share.  You may have seen the fun white on white card I did at my last card class, this fun card was from a swap at the Stampin'Up! convention.  I am sorry I do not remember her name.

White on white textures with snowflake

I saw this great card posted by Kim Lampone on splitcoaststampers a few weeks ago and fell in love.  I love using the Sizzix Big Shot impression folders, and the Northern Flurries snowflakes make it so fun.  It was a great use of the heat and stick powder with glitter too.  Fun, easy and best yet, it does not cost extra for postage!!!  What's sad is that the pictures of these white cards do not do them justice.

I love the simple silver greeting with the texture of the sparkling snowflakes.  I thought this card might be fun using Bashful Blue too, so here is another version.  I used Whisper White Craft ink so the snowflakes would show up better, but again, the pictures do not show up as well.

I enjoyed getting this card from a friend last year, and wanted to share it with all of you.  And the picture came out better too!  Thanks Mel for a fun card.
Melissa Kyer's holiday card
Here is another card from my last card class.  I saw this card on Patty Bennett's blog and thought it would be great.  I love how easy it is to mail too.  I am always thinking about that during this time of the year.

Enjoy these ideas and let me know how I can help you with your holiday cards.
