Butterfly Birthday Card

I love all the bundles in the Stampin'Up! Catalog, right now you can save when you get the Butterfly Bundle.  Just announced you can save 15% off the bundle.  See it below, but first a card using these items.
I always need more birthday cards.  I had a whole lot of birthdays in August.  Here's another one of the cards I made.

I used the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Elegant Butterfly Punch with the Papillion Potpourri stamp set.  Both punches work so well with this stamp set.

Here's a different angle so you can see the butterflies are raised up on the card.  Just a little bit of a dimensionals along the center of the butterfly, fold and you can put popped up butterflies all over your card.

Blooming with Kindness and Papillion Potpourri stamp sets, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Dimensionals

August 29 - September 30, 2013

Save 15 percent OFF when you buy this bundled butterfly stamp set and punch!  See the flyer HERE.  Save on the small butterfly punch when you order it with the stamp set, and then buy the bigger punch too!

Fun Flowers Birthday card

My mother-in-law is turning 80 this week!  Here's the pretty card we gave her.  I wanted to make something special for someone special.  Do you have any special birthdays coming up?  Sending someone a card like this would really make their day.

The shimmer does not really show well in the photos, but there is some shimmer there!  I used a Stampin' Sponge to apply ink to the En Francais background stamp so it looks soft and faded, then sponged around the edges as well.  I do not think the photos do it justice.

Use the Bone Folder to curl up the petals of the flowers giving it depth, and dimensionals between the layers to build it up. I like to use either Mini Glue Dots or Multipurpose Liquid Glue when I use Glitter Paper, these adhesives seem to hold better with Glitter Paper.

En Francais and Blooming with Kindness stamp sets, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Primrose Petals, Champagne Glitter Paper, Stampin' Sponge, Big Shot, Fun Flowers, 7/8" Scallop Circle, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Glue Dots, Dimensionals and Bone Folder
