Petal Passion Heart Card

Last month, while at a Demonstrator meeting I got to make a fun valentine featuring the  Heart Happiness stamp set and the Petal Palette bundle in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog.  Cindy had this fun card at the meeting and I thought how fun would this be for my card class.  Well I didn't have the and the Petal Palette bundle. So here is my version of this card.  Look at all the beautiful patterns in the Designer Series Paper!

I used the beautiful Petal Passion Designer Series Paper from the Occasions catalog, but I changed the hearts and greetings for my cards.  Just imagine all the fun and versatility of this beautiful designer series paper.

The heart from Sunshine Wishes Thinlits Dies is fun and whimsical, and one of my go to stamps for sweet greetings is the Sheltering Tree stamp set.

It makes a fun valentine, but it does not have to be a valentine card. It's hard to see in these photos but I colored the rhinestones with the Stampin' Blend.

    Heart Happiness Cards

    Have you seen the Heart Happiness stamp set in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog?  I just loved this set when I saw it.  This card idea was inspired by a card I saw at the Stampin'Up! OnStage convention in November.  We were the first to see the Occasions catalog, and who doesn't love being first?  
    I'm showing 2 different color combinations of this card today, and 2-3 versions (simple to stepped up).  These cards would be great for any occasion and with some color changes it looks very much like a valentine.

    I liked this card because it shows a fun idea that does not have to be a Valentine.  I love the hearts, there are so many to choose from in this set, but they do not have to always be for valentines.  They can be a pretty way to say I'm thinking of you or really for anything you want.  Just imagine all the versatility this set will give you.

      Party Pandas Valentine Card

      OMG I had to share this sweet card from my friend Jeanne Treptow.  I love it when she sends me cards in the mail! This Panda card is perfect for Valentine's day or if you change the words, I would love it any time!

      Happy Birthday Shaker Card

      I love the Happy Birthday Thinlit die in the Stampin'Up! Annual catalog. Here's a fun shaker card using the die and other great Stampin'Up! products.

      The Balloon Bouquet Punch is a great compliment to the Happy Birthday Thinlit die.  Just imagine all the fun projects you can make with these Stampin'Up! products.

      The Happy Birthday Thinlit die can also be purchased in a bundle, Happy Birthday Gorgeous Bundle, with a fun stamp set filled with balloons, flowers and messages (32 stamps in this set!).  Create the perfect card or gift packaging for any birthday you care to celebrate.

      This fun shaker card was a card for one of my neighbors kids, but I think it's a timeless birthday card for someone of any age.  Who wouldn't want to get this great card for their birthday.

      Making shaker cards can actually be easy when you have Foam Adhesive Strips. The  embellishment I used to fill this card is a retired sequin assortment, but there's a really fun current sequin pack you can use for a beautiful look in your shaker card. 
      • Use a die or punch to make a hold on the front piece of card stock. 
      • Adhere a piece of Window Sheet behind that opening. 
      • Then use the Foam Adhesive Strips behind that opening. 
      • Add some fun embellishments like Iridescent Sequin Assortment, tiny beads, or event small punched shapes.  A little bit goes a long way, so over fill your shaker. 
      • Add a back piece of card stock to seal your shaker and you are good to go!

      Foam Adhesive Strips are wonderful because they flex and move to form the shape of your opening. Shaker cards are so are so fun to make, and when you give them to people they will love them!  Plus using fun embellishments like the Iridescent Sequin Assortment or Metallics Sequin Assortment will give any craft project a little bling.
