Magnificent Maple Fall Card

You may have seen pictures the other day of the great swaps my friends and I shared from the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog, HERE.  Today I am sharing Kate Amberg's card.  I love Fall, the leaves are my favorite.  This is a perfect card for the season, makes me want to plan a drive in the mountains to look at the changing leaves.

I love the colors Kate chose for her card, and I love the Pretty Print embossing folder.  I think this card would also look great in blues with a snowflake as we move towards winter.  Hmmm, That might be my next card.

Fun Birthday Balloons

Another fun birthday card that we are making at my next card class.  I love the balloons!  RSVP to attend class this Thursday night.
I used the Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper from Stampin'Up!, see it and all the other great Designer Series Papers HERE. 

I got the idea for this card from Dawn Olchefske.  She has a great video on her blog that shows how she made the punch art balloons.  Love them!  I made my balloons bigger, but I love the idea, no matter what size you make your balloons.

How do you make the base of the balloons?  The Owl Punch!  It's the foot, just cut it off and glue to the back of your oval or circle punched shape.

Magnetic Platform Available again!!!

Great news, the Magnetic Platform (item 130658) is finally available again! It was so popular when the new catalog came out that Stampin'Up! could not keep up with demand.  But they now have more stock and everyone can enjoy this great tool!

I waited until the end of June to order mine, and just got it 2 weeks ago.  It is so easy to use!  Using Post-It Notes was a great way to keep my Framelits in place, but this is so much easier!

More Baby Shower Photos

Here are more photos from the baby shower. Look at how pretty this is!  

I just love all the work Kristin put into this shower for her daughter.  The details were wonderful!  She got tons of ideas and inspiration from Pinterest, so thank you to all of you out there who helped with your own great ideas that you posted.

Since we made the favors using Cherry Cobbler and Pool Party, we wanted the label colors for the food and drink to match.  I used My Digital Studio (MDS) to write up all the labels.  To make my life easier I used the Circle Punch in MDS as a template for my words.  I choose my blue to match the ink I used on the favors (it's Costal Cabana).  When printing out my words from MDS I printed on Whisper White card stock, and then used my Circle Punch.  The words were adhered to Scallop Circle Punched shapes.

 She had antique cards, old jars filled with candies and so many other fun things.  

 Here are all the favors!

The favors Kristin made for the guests were easy.  

2-4-6-8 box
Use half a sheet of card stock 5.5" x 8.5".  
Score at 2", 4", 6", 8", then turn it and score at 1.5". 

These were fun projects.  Kristin got tons of ideas from Pinterest, I love all the inspiration you can find there!

Time Flies!

Wow, is it already September 10?  Yikes!  The last month just few by, and with travel, back to school, back to work, soccer, soccer, soccer and through in some company... the last month is a blur.  Sorry it's been a week since my last post.  I have lots of fun ideas to share from the Holiday mini catalog and other fun stuff too.  

My friend Kristin, who had the baby shower for her daughter, gave me some fun photos to share.  I'll get those out, and some other ideas this week too.

It's a Boy Banner

I helped my friend Kristin with decorations for her daughter's baby shower recently.  Here's a fun banner I made for the party.  There were also tags for the drinks and treats and treat bags too.  Here's a few photos of part of the projects we made.  

I used my Big Shot and some dies to make this fun banner.  But have you seen the banners in the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog?  There are fun banners, no Big Shot needed.  Check out the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit and the Build a Banner Refill Kit in the Holiday catalog and have fun making Halloween, Christmas and any other banners you want.  Or get your own Big Shot for tons of fun.

Here are the easy treat bags that Kristin had for the guests.

Here are the spacers between the letters. I used the Pennant Parade stamp set and coordinating Petite Pennants Builder punch.

I used the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Die for the letters "It's a Boy".

This was a fun project.  Kristin got tons of ideas from Pinterest, I love all the inspiration you can find there!
