Card from January Card Class

Okay, I'm a little behind getting photos posted of my cards.  Here's the cards from my January card class.  I just love the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog. I made this card for a card swap with other demonstrators and offered it at class.  I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.

The red and white card with butterfly was a spin off of another card swap I did, but instead of using the dragonfly bundle again, I used butterfly framelits (the small detailed butterfly is from Bold Butterfly Framelits and the solid butterfly is from Butterflies Thinlits, they work together so well!).  I love the saying from Sheltering Tree stamp set.  This card could be great for Valentine's day, or any day of the year.  Both butterflies were die cut in Whisper White, then I sponged the solid butterfly with Real Red and Pink Pirouette inks.  This card also features the Falling Petals Embossing Folder and Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set.

The black, silver and white card uses the Birthday Blast stamp set (available in wood or clear stamps).  I wanted an elegant look and thought silver embossing powder on Basic Black card stock would be great.
