Hanging Garden Embossed Card

Here's a fun card I made using the Hanging Garden stamp set (available in CLEAR or WOOD) This stamp set is a fun set, great images and sayings. While the stamp set will be in the new annual catalog starting June 1st, some of the colors on this card are retiring.  
Wisteria Wonder is a lovely purple and will be retiring this month.  

I stamped my images on Whisper White card stock, the square is backed with Basic Black card stock and the saying was cut as an oval using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  I used my Big Shot with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies and the Layered Leaves Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
I used Vellum with the Leaves Embossing Folder to create the texture on the front of this card.  I love how you can see the color through the vellum so you don't loose the beautiful color of the Wisteria Wonder.

While the stamp set and a wonderful coordinating die set will be available in the new catalog, many colors like Wisteria Wonder with only available until May 31, or while supplies last.

This card features one of the the retiring colors, Wisteria Wonder.  I'll miss this color, and the other retiring colors.  But look forward to using the new colors Stampin'Up! will be offering in the new catalog.

March Card Class using Occasions & SAB products

Here's the March card class cards, featuring Stampin'Up! products, 2 cards with items from Sale-A-Bration and 1 card from the Occasions catalog, the card I made at a March Stamp Camp.

The Amazing You Springtime Foils card idea came from Jeanie Stark.  I just loved how she used the Springtime Foils with Stampin' Blends.

For coloring the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper I used the Stampin' Blends markers. They are alcohol markers with dual tips and have a light and dark shade to give you the best blending experience.  After hand cutting the flowers we colored some of them at class.  I think it looks good no matter if you color them or not.

Party Pandas (WOOD or CLEAR) is a fun stamp set in the Stampin'Up! Sale-A-Bration catalog.  You can earn this as your FREE gift when you spend $50 in products. This was fun card to make and send to friends.  

We used Stampin' Markers to color the hat the panda's are wearing.  

 For the inside of this card I used the Stampin' Blends markers to color the balloon.

Stamp the pandas and punch holes using the 1-1/4" circle punch. Then glue together, and use Dimensionals to pop up the framed panda's on the front.  

 This was a fun card to make and send out to friends.  I hope you enjoy the ideas here.

Hanging Gardens Card using the Stamparatus

Sunday I posted this Hanging Garden Fun Fold card from Stamp Camp.  Today I wanted to share more photos showing how I used the Stamparatus to make these cards.  

The Stamparatus is an amazing new tool from Stampin'Up!  I was lucky enough to be part of the L2L team that's been working with Stampin'Up! to design this new tool.  There were some preorders a few months back, and those are slowly being shipped out to those customers.  But don't worry, if you were not able to pre-order one, they will be available in the new annual catalog which starts June 1!  

Hanging Garden is a sweet stamp set in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog, available in Clear or Wood Mount stamps.

Hanging Garden Fun Fold Card

Using the Stamparatus to make the Hanging Gardens card

First set up your stamp on the surface plate of the Stamparatus so you know where your stamp will be on your card.  I figured out where the hole would be from the punch I used and lined up accordingly.   You can see better on the next picture that I lowered my card from the top and placed it at the 1" mark on the grid.  But I kept the card against the right side.  

2-1/4" Circle Punch, punch from the top of the card in the center.

I wanted the top of my basket to stamp off the card, so I lowered the card to the 1" line.  After you have your stamp where you want on the card from press the plate down onto the stamp, when you open it up it will be on the plate.  

Use one of the magnets that comes with the Stamparatus to hold down your card.  (These magnets are REALLY strong!  Keep them away from each other!  I like to use 1 at a time, and the other one is stored on the back.  

Ink up the stamp. 

For this card I used Memento Black, but this would be a great time to use your Stampin' Spots.  (wow, that's a great use for all those Stampin' Spots I get from my Paper Pumpkins)

After inking the stamp, close the plate like above.  I pressed gently on the plate where the stamp was and then opened it.

Take off your magnet and you are ready for another card!

The fun fold takes a simple card and puts a fun twist on it.  I love how easy this card is to make.

To create this easy fun fold on the inside, use a note card  and have it open in the opposite direction.  Yes, that's right, it's a note card (Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes) from the Stampin'Up! Annual Catalog. These cards come in white and vanilla.
