Beautiful Blizzard Brusho Card

Here's another card using the Beautiful Blizzard stamp set and coordinating die.  Right now, through January 2nd, the wood mount stamp set and the Blizzard Thinlits Die are both on sale as part of the Year-End Closeout Sale
If you buy the bundle of stamps and die, you can save 10%, but check the individual prices right now too. Because of the sale on the wood set and on the die, you might save more purchasing them individually.
This is just one of the great stamp sets that will be going away on January 2nd.

This fun card was a card swap I did with other demonstrators.  We were sharing ideas from the Holiday catalog.  Have you ever thought about being a demonstrator?  You can sign up for the discount or as a business.  The choice is yours, but either way you get a great discount and so much more!  My favorite part of being a demonstrator is all the friends I have made through the years.  Contact me if you are interested in finding out more about the Stampin'Up! Starter Kit.  In January there is an even better deal on the starter kit!!

Card Supplies:

Brusho Crystal Colour (assortment of 5)

Here is the Thick Whisper White card stock negative image.  When I used the Blizzard Die to make the snowflakes for the card above, this is what I was left with.  It looks beautiful on top of any color of card stock to make a pretty card.

December Christmas Card Class

A couple of weeks ago I held my final card class of this year.  Here are the fun cards we made.  I had different versions of each card so they could be used as Thank You or Holiday cards.
(from top to bottom) I love the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, it is one of my go to's for the holidays.  The snowflake card has a fun watercolor technique that I saw Sara demonstrator on stage in November at the Stampin'Up! convention.  And the bottom card is copied from a card in the back of the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog, I gave it my own twist since I did not have the stamp set for the card they made.

The Holiday catalog ends January 2nd, so be sure to order the products you want before they are gone!
I love this card, and it is very easy to make.
Night of Navy card base 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", fold in half.
Softly Falling emboss folder on Vellum 4" x 5-1/2".
Stamp trees in Early Espresso and Garden Green on Whisper White card stock 3-3/4" x 5", and sponge Night of Navy in the sky around the trees with stamping sponges.
Whisper White 1-3/4" x 4" stamp your greeting, I used Merry Christmas To All from the Holiday catalog.
Tie Braided Linen Trim around the pieces before adhering to the card front.

Crumb Cake card base 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and 4" x 5-1/4" piece embossed with Tin Tile embossing folder.
Very Vanilla card stock 2-1/8" x 4-1/4", stamp your greeting, I used Merry Christmas To All  from the Holiday catalog.
Then use the 2-1/2" circle punch on one side to make it a circle.
Use the Sprig Punch with Mossy Meadow card stock, and 1/4" punch for the berries in Cherry Cobbler.
I gave my cards a shimmer with Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with 70% alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer. Make your own color spritzers by filling the empty bottle with water or rubbing alcohol and any color of classic ink or shimmer paints.

Tranquil Tides card base 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" folded in half.
2 pieces of Whisper White card stock 4" x 5-1/4".
Watercolor paper 3-3/4" x 5"
Watercolor Technique: Balmy Blue and Tranquil Tide Classic Inks on one of the acrylic plates from the Stamparatus.  Use water in a Stampin' Spritzer and mist the plate.  Then lay the Watercolor paper on the ink.  Carefully pick up and dry with heat tool or paper towels.  For added texture, mist the paper again with the water for extra water drops and dry with the towel again.
After the paper dries you can stamp your greeting, I used Beautiful Blizzard stamp set from the Holiday catalog.
The snowflake dies are from the Blizzard Thinlits Die, also from the Holiday catalog. I used mini dimensionals and the Fine Tip Glue to adhere them.
This card would look great with a little shimmer too, use Frost White Shimmer Paint mixed with 70% alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer and mist the card front.

These cards were fun and fairly easy to make.  If you are in the Denver area, contact me to attend a future card class.
Happy Holidays!!
