Fun Elf Shoes Gift Bags

I saw this idea at my friends house and had to share. Elf Shoes on a bag, it's so cute!  She go the idea from Becky Roberts.
Want to make your own?  Here's how I made them for the bags, but you could also make cards, tags and more with this idea!  I used bags I got at a craft store.
Step 1 - Use your Big Shot and Top Note Die
Step 2 - cut it into the pieces shown
Cut in half and use 1 half for the elf bottom
Cut off a section of the other half (long strip that you will not need), and cut shorter end in half the other way (see photo)
Step 3 - Use a Textured Embossing Folder on the top half
Step 4 - Punch the 2 bottom pieces with the Extra Large Oval Punch, (used to be called the Wide Oval Punch) punch out a small piece so it looks more like shoes (see the right image above).
To shape the shoe tops you only need to punch a small part of your die cut.
Here's another image to explain the cuts.
When you are done you have his bottom and 2 shoes.  Plus a strip of Trim The Tree Designer Series Paper (DSP) Stack (only $6.95 for 48 sheets, double-sided) for each leg and 2 circles for the tops of his shoes.  I used 1/2" strips for the legs and the 1/2" circle punch for the circles on top of the shoes.
I used Sticky Strip for the Cherry Cobbler pieces.  Fast Fuse for the DSP strips that make his legs. Dimensionals for the small Garden Green circles.  Dimensionals are only $3.95 for 300 dots! It's a great deal, I use them ALL the time!

Tie it off with a ribbon at the top and a tag too.
I used Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen Ribbon, but there are LOTS of Pretty Stampin'Up! Ribbons you can use to finish off your projects.

Dad's Grads and more cards

Here are the cards I offered at my last class, Dads, Grads and more.  I got one of the fun ideas from my friend Marsha.  You can see her swap on the May 23 posting.
I loved The Open Sea card, but I did mine with Early Espresso instead of Cherry Cobbler.  The Designer Series Paper Nautical Expedition is great!  I had a hard time choosing which papers to use for the cards.  I definitely want to do some scrapbooking with this paper.
Have you seen the Baker's Twine in the Summer mini catalog?  I used it on this card and love it.  I can see how this would be great on lots of cards, and to tie your tags for gifts.  It's available in 3 different colors.  I used some of the stamps from Word Play on this card, they work great with the Decorative Label punch.  Word Play is one of the sets on sale this month for 30 percent off.  See all the sets on sale under Stampin'Up! Promotions.

We needed a nice get well card a few weeks before class, so I came up with this tree card from the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set.  It works great for neutral birthdays, get well or anything else.  I am always looking for easy neutral cards, and I kept thinking the Circle Circus would be fun to use for a graduation cards.  Black and red are so striking together, so this is what I came up with.

I like using my Big Shot dies and embossing folders with my cards.  The Square Lattice embossing folder worked great on two of these cards, plus the Top Note die is a great stand by for any card.  Hope you enjoy them!

Owls!

Look at the cute owls my friend, and downline, Erin Anderson made.  She makes very cute boxes and other favors.  The heads of the owls is the Sizzix Big Shot Top Note die.  Then she used some of the Stampin'Up! Circle Punches for eyes, and Stampin'Up! Heart Punches for the nose and feet.  A Scallop Oval Punch is on the front chest of each Owl.  I just love punch art, so many cute ideas out there.  This one would be great for some treats for anyone.
