Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper

I really like the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper 12" x 12" paper you can pick as your free SAB product.  But I was also thinking "I really like this black and white paper, but I don't want to color it all!"  
I saw some really great cards using very minimal color or no color.  I was inspired!  I can do this.  I know now I do not have to color all the paper. I don't have to color any to make it look great!  
I was doing that.  I made some fun cards I copied from others. This one is one of those cards, I copied it from LeeAnn Greff.  But when I colored the 1 flower I went too far and colored the stem.  NOPE!  That threw the whole thing off.  So I sat down to color it all.  Yes, most of the time I stand when I stamp.  Anyway, I really had fun with this card.  I used my  watercolor pencils to color all the flowers (I still left the background white cause that was just too much coloring for me today).  It was fun!  Then I went back and blended the flowers with the aqua painter.

Hey Chick Watercolor Card

Here's a great fantastic card from my friend Jeanne Treptow. What a fun card to get in the mail! She used the Hey Chick stamp set that you can pick as your FREE SAB item when you order $50 of Stampin'Up! products. 

Jeanne did a masking technique for the chickens when she stamped the black ink on the watercolor paper. She also used the new watercolor pencils and an aqua painter to color the chickens.  I know it doesn't show on these photos, but the little egg has a shimmer from a Clear Winks of Stella Glitter Brush.  I love the way Jeanne cut out the egg and popped it up with a dimensional.

Watercolor Crayons and Pencils

Watercolor Pencils and Crayons Discontinued

Sad news, Stampin'Up! announced that they will be discontinuing the Watercolor Pencils and Crayons.  This announcement came out April 3, 2013. I, along with many others, will be sad to see these products go away.  I love the Watercolor Crayons!  

The Watercolor Pencils and Watercolor Wonder Crayons in the Brights Collection are no longer available.
