Blenabilities Update

I have sad news from Stampin'Up! about Blendabilities.

There has been quality issues with the Stampin' Blendabilities Marker line. Due to the nature of the defect, Stampin' Up! has concluded that difficulties, dissatisfaction, and product returns will only become more widespread. The manufacturer is unable to correct the problem in a manner that Stampin' Up! is certain would meet our high quality standards and provide us with a stable, long-term solution. Therefore, after a great deal of deliberation and in order to prevent further disappointment, the Blendabilities product line has been discontinued.

Blendabilities Q & A

Q: Will the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad (item #132708) and the Tuxedo Black Memento Pad Refill (item #133456) still be available for purchase?

A: Yes. These items will continue to be available for purchase.  (The Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad is my personal favorite black ink.)

Q: What are the quality problems with this product?
A: When the tip is welded to the barrel, the welding process can leave microscopic (invisible) holes in the marker tip. This leads to accelerated evaporation of the alcohol in the ink.

Q: Are all Blendabilities markers defective?
A: No. Most Blendabilities markers work as intended.  For me, I've only experience a couple of markers drying out, and a few customers have experienced that as well.    

Q: What if I have Blendabilities markers that are defective?  
A: If you ordered them with me, please contact me and I will take care of you!

Personal Note:  As disappointed as I am that Stampin' Up! will no longer be carrying this product, I'm proud to be associated with a company that is brave enough to pull a popular product.  Many of you have expressed your happiness with these markers, and like me I know this will sadden you.  But I think it was the right thing to do.

Blendabilities Cards

Here's another card from my card class.  I wanted some fall colors and I love working with the Blendabilities markers.  So this card was perfect.

Making Spirits Bright Halloween cards

I love the new Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog!  So many fun products and ideas.  This is another card idea for the Making Spirits Bright stamp set. It's similar to another card I made for a shoebox swap, only this time I thought it would be fun to make it a Halloween card.

Here's closer view of each card, same layout, just black stars verses white stars.  I personally like the black one better, I think it pops more.  Did you see the eyeball in the glass?  I used some Crystal Effects on the eyeball to make it shine.  Creepy perfect for Halloween

Making Spirits Bright Cards

The Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog starts today!  There's tons of fun products for the holidays and anytime.

Here's a fun card using the new stamp set Making Spirits Bright (available in Wood 135086 $27.95 or Clear 135089 $19.95).  A clink of the glass can say more than words.  This set includes a variety of sentiments to welcome the season.  These great images and saying are fun for the holidays and anytime!  I thought it would make a fun birthday card, plus it shows how this set is not just for the holidays.  

The Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper (DSP) has so many great patterns.  I could make this same type of card in lots of different colors and of course use the different stamps in the set.  Look for my Halloween card next week.
