White Christmas Framed Art Project

When I first saw the new Stampin'Up! annual catalog for 2015-2016 I was so excite to see one of my favorite stamp sets from the last Holiday catalog, White Christmas.  

Here is a project I made last December for a fun handcrafted gift exchange.  I had so much fun making this hand stamped decoration and then put the final product in a frame.  
The White Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set has so many fun images in this set.  It makes me want to start Christmas cards now.  

Here's a view of the center part, it's a 5" x 7" piece of Whisper White card stock, and I used the Oval Collection Framelits Dies for the window and the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

For the border, Confetti Stars Punch.  This punch is so easy to use with so many different uses and if you need teeny stars, well here you go!

Happy New Year!!

I hope you all have a very happy new year!!  Here's a few cards from me and 2 of my Stampin'Up! Demonstrator friends using the stamp set Making Spirits Bright.  I thought they were perfect for the new year.  This stamp set is available in Clear or Wood, but only for a limited time.  The Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog ends January 5th.

 Jenny made this great card, look how it folds out.  I love it!!  

 The card is 4" x 12" with score marks at 4" and 8", and additional scores on the diagonal.

This card features Brushed Gold 8-1/2" x 11" card stock and the Lucky Stars Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Lori used the All is Calm Specialty Designer Series Paper on her card.  It's perfect for any time of year.

Festival of Trees Holiday Sparkle Cards

Here are cards from this weekends Holiday Sparkle class.  The inspiration for these tree cards are from Jill Hilliard, I loved the cards she made so I had to copy them.  I used the bundle Festival of Trees stamp set and Tree punch in the Stampin'Up! Holiday Catalog, page 24.  

We made these cards using the Note Cards & Envelopes to make 20 cards at class.  They also make cards using the White Christmas stamp set.  Everyone at class got a pack of Rhinestones and a container of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

To make things easy each person was given some half sheets of Whisper White to do all the stamping and punching first. It saved time.

Here are close up's of each of the cards.  The first one has glitter, most of the other cards have rhinestones.

The star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack is the perfect size for the star in this set.

The Rhinestones were colors with a Blendabilities marker.  It works so well on the rhinestones. I recommend coloring them while they are still on the sheet they come on, that way you do not accidentally color on your project.

Freaky Friends Halloween Card

Here's another Stampin'Up! Halloween card.  This one is a combination of Paper Pumpkin stamps from the September Paper Pumpkin kit and the Freaky Friends stamp set from the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog.    

The card on the right bottom has a shimmer.  I used the Stampin' Spritz with alcohol and a drops of the Encore Silver refill ink (page 211 in the annual catalog). 

Freaky Friends (available in Wood 135158 $21.95 or Clear 135161 $16.95) has lovable monsters are more likely to make you laugh than scream, and they will add a spooktacular touch to Halloween crafts.

Happy New Year Card

You may think it's a little early to start showing New Year's cards, but I had to share this one, and maybe it will get you thinking about other holiday crafting too. I love the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog, it's filled with fun products and ideas.  I also love the Making Spirits Bright stamp set, here's another card using this set.  This one is from a demonstrator swap we did using products from the Holiday catalog. 

I thought it would be great to make a fun New Year's card for the holiday swap.  I love how well the Blendabilities markers work to color the drink glasses.  I used the Daffodil Delight Assortment, the light, medium and dark shades were perfect for blending. 

Stampin' Blendabilities Markers are alcohol markers made for blending and shading.  Use them with the Memento Pad, a great black ink pad that's perfect for these markers, or anytime you need a good black ink. See all the Blendabilities products on the Stampin'Up! website, and watch the video with filled with tips on how to use these wonderful markers.  

Here are all the cards from the swap.  I loved all the fun ideas.  I can't wait to share more of them soon.

Making Spirits Bright Halloween cards

I love the new Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog!  So many fun products and ideas.  This is another card idea for the Making Spirits Bright stamp set. It's similar to another card I made for a shoebox swap, only this time I thought it would be fun to make it a Halloween card.

Here's closer view of each card, same layout, just black stars verses white stars.  I personally like the black one better, I think it pops more.  Did you see the eyeball in the glass?  I used some Crystal Effects on the eyeball to make it shine.  Creepy perfect for Halloween

Here's a fun card using the new stamp set Making Spirits Bright (available in Wood 135086 $27.95 or Clear 135089 $19.95).  A clink of the glass can say more than words.  This set includes a variety of sentiments to welcome the season.  These great images and saying are fun for the holidays and anytime!  I thought it would make a fun birthday card, plus it shows how this set is not just for the holidays.  

The Sweet Taffy Designer Series Paper (DSP) has so many great patterns.  I could make this same type of card in lots of different colors and of course use the different stamps in the set.  Look for my Halloween card next week.
