Birthday Blossoms Card Swap Pocket Card

Here's a fun card swap from my friend Crista Bailey. the Stampin'Up! catalog.  I realized that I never shared this card back in the summer when we did our card swap for the 2015-2016 Stampin'Up! Annual Catalog.  I think there might be a couple more cards from that swap to share too!  So coming soon... more swap cards this week and next week!

Crista's pocket card has a slide out panel for a note or you could even attach a gift card to it.  This card is so versatile, I love it.

For the greeting she used Birthday Blossoms stamp set (available in Wood or Clear Mount stamps), and the large flower stamp coordinates with the Pansy Punch!  

Other supplies include Whisper White and Tip Top Taupe card stock, 2015-2017 In Color Envelope Paper (on sale through Monday on the Weekly Deals for Jan. 12-18), 1" Dotted Lace Trim in Watermelon Wonder, and Pearls.  Inks:  Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, and Watermelon Wonder.  

For the tag Crista used the Note Tag Punch and for the insert I think the Envelope Liners Framelits would work well with the Big Shot. Or you could cut and measure 2 rectangles, then trim in at an angle and use a Corner Rounder Punch for the top corners.

Here's another card using the new Ronald McDonald stamp set from Stampin'Up!, Sprinkles of Life.  I was on a roll from the last Sprinkles of Life card, so I used the new 2015-2017 In Color colors on this card too.

The Tree Builder Punch coordinates with Sprinkles of Life stamp set and works so well. Punches are a quick and easy way to add interest and depth to your projects. The Tree Builder Punch has multiple shapes so you can layer them to create a tree, or use the shapes to create clouds, flowers and more.  You can easily stamp and punch images for the tops of cupcakes and ice cream cones, or use that same image as a cloud.

Here are some fun cards using all 5 of the new Stampin'Up! In Colors for 2015-2017, with the stamp set You've Got This (available WOOD or CLEAR).  I was having fun with my Aqua Painter. I wanted to show off each color on it's own card and really enjoyed painting too.

The Aqua Painter is a great way to get that watercolor look, no need for a brush and cup.  Just paint!  The Aqua Painters hold liquid for easy watercolors.  Use it with Watercolor Paper and Classic Stampin' Ink.  For these cards I used Whisper White Paper, and a pack of assorted In Color 2015-2017 card stock.  

TIP: When using the aqua painter use soft, quick strokes.  Work quickly, and have fun.  Instead of perfect coloring with a marker this is the perfect time to make quick strokes and don't always worry about being exact.  For the petals on this flower I reloaded color on to my aqua painter with each petal.  I didn't squeeze out water, just kept the tip damp and moved quickly.  (too much water makes the Whisper White paper warp)  If you want more color or darker areas, wait a minute and then add more color to an area.
