Blendabilites Flower Card

I really like using the Blendabilities markers from Stampin'Up!  Here's another fun card using Blendabilities.  The Blended Bloom stamp is so fun and perfect for showing off the colors.  

Stampin' Blendabilities Markers are alcohol markers made for blending and shading.  Use them with the Memento Pad, a great black ink pad that's perfect for these markers, or anytime you need a good black ink.

Tips for using Blendabilties Markers:

• Use Memento Ink Pad so the markers do not make your stamped image bleed.
• Let the Memento ink dry for 30 seconds before using Blendabilities Markers on your image.
• Work dark to light or light to dark with your markers.
• Use a light touch! Don't push on the marker to blend your colors, instead use gentle strokes and go over the line you want to blend a few times lightly.  The tips are fragile and you do not want to "mash" the tips as you work.
• Be sure to close each marker very tightly, they dry out quickly if left open.
• Do not leave markers open when you change colors, cap each pen before changing to a different color on your image.

The Blended Bloom stamp is a wood-mount stamp.  This flower is gorgeous on its own, but put watercolors or bendabilities markers with it and you'll have a bloom as beautiful as the real thing.

You will love the mix of greetings and fun fonts in this stamp set, And Many More. The sayings are small enough to be an accent but large enough to stand on their own. Some of the sayings fit perfectly in the Word Window Punch, and they are all fun!

Thinking of You (Kind Koala) Card

Here are some fun cards from the July Shoebox Swap I went to at Tara's house.  All Stampin'Up! supplies of course, and a couple of hours of fun stamping together makes for a fun evening!  My card is the Koala in front.  I made this card for my last card class, and also used it for 2 different card swaps recently. 

I just love the Kind Koala stamp!!  He's so cute! Available in wood, and only $9.95.  This stamp just makes me smile.

These are all the cards I made for another swap, with Kate Amberg, for non-convention goers. I made 12 of the same card, and got back my card plus 11 new ideas.  I'll share them next week.   

This was the first time I missed the Stampin'Up! Convention, and I plan on it being the last.  I love going to the Stampin'Up! convention every year.  It's such a great time to stamp, see new products and make new friends!

Here is the back so you can see how I wrapped the twine and used Dimensionals to pop up the image.  

I used Crystal Effects on the flower to give it extra shine.  It takes a little while to dry, but it's a fun effect.

I had a little snafu with my card this time.  I had all the card stock cut, and all the other supplies so everyone could make the card at Tara's, but…  I forgot to bring the stamp!!!!! Big oh no!  So Tara let me look through her stamps to find something else that would fit in the space, and I used the Perfect Blend stamp set.  It worked, but not as cute for this card.  So I mailed out Koala's to most of the girls to put on their card fronts.

It's a Card Party!

Monday night I had a Stampin'Up! Card Party at Courtney's house.  The she and her friends had fun making cards, I brought all the supplies.  Do you want to do a card party?  Contact me to set yours up!  Here are all the cards they made.

Everyone made 2 of each design, I had 3 samples of this one for all 3 cute sayings.  
The Scallop Tag Topper Punch is so easy to use and works so well on this, I added the corner rounder to make the tags look even cuter.  Plus the In Color 2012-2014 markers work so well together for coloring.  I love the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder, it works so well on so many different projects.  

I made a card similar to this one at Tara's July Shoebox swap, thank you Angela Zaba for the cute idea.  I loved the color on this, it's ALL Costal Cabana.  Ink your stamp up then stamp it 3 different times without re-inking to get the faded effect.

 Love the butterflies on this card, the Papillon Potpourri works so well with both of the coordinating butterfly punches.  Be sure to stamp your greeting first, then run the Strawberry Slush card stock through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  

I love the new Corner Garden stamp set in the Stampin'Up! annual catalog.  It's a great background stamp that you can do so much with.  Available in Clear $13.95, or Wood $17.95. This fun idea also came from the last Shoebox Swap at Tara's, thanks Andrea Van Sambeck.
