Thank You Flower card two ways

Here's a fun Thank You card done 2 ways.  I just love the Botanical Gardens Product Suite and especially the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. So I thought it would be fun to make a card using bright colors and some flowers from the dies.  But then I thought it would be great to make the same type of card using punches instead.  That way if you don't have a Big Shot you have another great option for making this card. 

I love this flower!  The big yellow flower is my favorite die in the set.  Using the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies with the Big Shot gives you lots of options.  This card shows off the large flower, one of the smaller flowers and the little sunburst in the middle of the big flower.

Supplies on both cards:  Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Whisper White, Bermuda Bay Classic Ink, Sassy Salutations Stamp Set (WOOD or CLEAR), Glue Dots and snail adhesive.

Birthday Blossoms Shoebox Swap Card

Here's a fun card from a shoebox swap from last summer, it features products from the the 2015-2016 Stampin'Up! Annual Catalog. Janet Weisheit brought all the supplies for us to make this card at a shoebox swap.  Just imagine 8-10 demonstrators all bring a card idea and the supplies to make that card.  Then everyone goes around the table making those cards.  It's fun crafting and you leave having learned some new techniques and with some great card ideas to share with others.

Ornate Tag Topper Punch Treats

Sometimes I just need some sweet treats to give to friends.  Here are some I made a few weeks ago.  I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch to make these easy treats.  

This punch is on sale through Monday, July 13 at 30% off!

To make these treats use card stock that is just under 2" wide, any length you want.  The candy I used is 1" wide, so I found the middle and scored 1/2" to each side of middle. 

They are fun and easy to make.

Here's the products I used to make these sweet treats.

Ornate Tag Topper Punch

Create your own tag toppers, bookmarks, bellybands and more.  Insert a 2" stripe of card stock (any length) and punch.

To make the Flowers:
I used 2 sizes of punched flowers and layered them together Pansy Punch and Petite Petals Punch, but you could use any flower punches to make flowers like these.  
Use a bone folder to distress the card stock, brake down the fibers by using the the bone folder to curl the petals and crumple up the paper.  
Keep working with the card stock until you can see the edges separating so you can peel them apart.
Then glue the 2 punched flowers together, I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the flower with a Dimensional.

The Pansy Punch and Petite Petals Punch both coordinate with stamps in the catalog too.  Imagine all the fun you can have making projects with these punches.

Flowers and Belly Band:
I made a belly band to wrap around the middle of the bag.  It's easy, just get a piece of card stock, this one was almost 2" wide by 8-1/2" long.  I wrapped it and did not measure my score marks, just folded the card stock so it wrapped around the bag.  I used some of the great Stampin'Up! lace on top of the Basic Black card stock and used Sticky Strip to hold it in place.  
The flowers were layered in Basic Black and Very Vanilla card stock using the flower punches.  I used Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive to glue the flowers together and Dimensionasl too.  Finished it with a pearl from the Jewels Pearls (there are 150 of them for only $4.95)

Very Vanilla card stock 3-1/4" x 11", score at 4-1/2" and 9"
Attach the last 2 inches of the Very Vanilla to the back of the front piece, the fold forms a backwards Z.

All of the stamps I used on my card are available in clear and wood, the wheel background stamp is a jumbo wheel, Very Vintage. 
Have you used any of the wheels before?  The jumbo wheel needs a Jumbo handle, you can use cartridges with these wheels or roll the wheel over an ink pad a number of times to get about 6 inches of ink coverage (perfect for a card).  

Sparkle in the middle of the flowers…
I used Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to make my flowers sparkle.
After stamping and punching the flowers, use your fingers or a bone folder to curl the edges of the petals. Then put a puddle of Crystal Effects in the middle, cover with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and use a Dimensional to pop it up on the card.  
It's my favorite glitter!!
