Here is a fun and sparkling card using products from the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog. This was just one of the great cards at the October Stamp Camp. There were 8 wonderful cards to make, plus treats, raffle baskets and a great lunch was provided.
The Beautiful Blizzard card features:
Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder (this folder is amazing!)
I've listed directions below on how to make this card. Score at 2-1/8" and 4-1/4" for this fun fold.
Here's how the card looks out of the envelope, and below is how it folds out.
There is shimmer on the snowflakes and the front white stamped rectangle that did not photograph well.
The Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint gives a subtle shimmer everywhere you put it. It's beautiful when it catches the light! I love the shimmer paints! I was so happy to see Stampin'Up! brought them back for this holiday catalog. I was a fan of them the first time I used them, sad when they went away and so happy to see them come back! In the past I have used Shimmer Paint in our Stampin' Spritzer, mixed with 70% alcohol to give a beautiful shimmer all over the surface. But this time I used Sponge Daubers, sponged it directly onto some of my stamps and stamped on the Whisper White rectangle to add shimmer paint to select areas.

Paper:
Smoky Slate 8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 2-1/8”, 4-1/4”
Smoky Slate 4-1/4” x 3-1/4”
Whisper White 4-1/8” x 3-3/8”
Gray Granite 1/2” x 3”
Stamps:
Beautiful Blizzard (Holiday p. 39, in Wood or Clear Mount)
Timeless Textures (p. 156, in Wood or Clear Mount)
Inks:
Instructions
- Fold Smokey Slate card at score marks (2-1/8” and 4-1/4”).
- Adhere Tin Tile embossed Silver paper to front of card.
- Stamp snowflakes in Gray Granite on Whisper White card stock.
- Sponge edges of Whisper White card stock with Smoky Slate ink.
- Use Sponge Dauber with Shimmer Paint to add textured shimmer to white card stock and to color die cut snowflakes.
- Adhere Whisper White card stock to Smoky Slate card stock and use 3 Dimensionals on 1 side to adhere to card front. (Don’t put Dimensionals on both sides!!)
- Use Tear & Tape on back of greeting (Gray Granite strip) and adhere to ribbon. Then use Dimensionals to pop up and adhere to card front.
