January Card Class

There are so many fun new products in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog. Here are the cards from my January card class.  If you are in the Denver area, contact me to attend an upcoming class.

Clockwise starting top left: Piece of Cake Bundle (stamp set & punch) Highlands Heather card (CASEd), Meant to be Bundle (stamp set & dies) heart Petal Pink card; Oh, So Eclectic and Picture Perfect Birthday Old Olive card.
January Card Class Cards:
Top Left: I CASEd the Highlands Heather card from Chris Slogar, saw her card on Pinterest and just loved it! The Gingham Gala 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper worked great as an accent and the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies make the cake pop.
Top Right:  I've seen lots of fun ideas for the Meant to be Bundle but tried to something myself.  After looking at all those cards, I may have used some different things from different peoples layouts.  I love the All My Love Designer Series Paper, there are so many pretty patterns!
Bottom:  The Oh, So Eclectic Old Olive card was my swap at Stampin'Up! OnStage last November, and is a variation of a card I did for a holiday card class last fall.  I had seen photos from a past Stampin'Up! event and loved the way that person used vellum and punches on the card.  Sadly, I do not know who's card it was that gave me that original inspiration.

Piece of Cake Bundle - stamps and punch
Meant to be Bundle - stamps and dies
Save 10% when you order the bundle.  Or if you only want either the Stamp Set or the Dies, then order separately.  The bundle includes:

Oh, So Eclectic stamp set

Swirly Bird Birthday Card from Card Class

Here's the cards from July's card class.  They were fun to make, that I made extras this month for birthdays!  There's a lot of birthdays on my calendar for July and August.
Top left: Jar of Love Tammie's Swap Card
Top right: Swirly Bird Card from LeAnn Greff
Bottom: Always an Adventure Card Swap from Luci Yuhas

I've already posted photos of my swap and Luci's swap, so lets talk about LeAnn's fabulous card.  I saw her using these colors and stamp set.  I just fell in love!  I didnt use the coordinating dies with it though.  She did and had a pop of color.  I had some laying on the table and decided they didn't need  the die.  Changed the greeting for what I need and I was off.
Some friends and family are getting these in the mail this month.  I used my #imbringingbirthdaysback stamp for the envelopes too.

The Swirly Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set is a great stand alone stamp set, or buy the bundle and save!  Save 10% when you buy the Swirly Bird Photopolymer Bundle which includes the Swirly Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set and coordinating framelits Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies.

Card Class Projects for August 2015

Yesterday's card class had different 3 cards.  Here are two of the cards from class.  I got this first idea from my friend Wanda, who got the idea from Brian King.  I love seeing other demonstrator's ideas and copying them is a form of flattery.  There are so many great card ideas out there.  Sometimes I create my own and other times, I CASE (Copy And Share Everything).
This card features a couple new products in the Stampin'Up! catalog, including the Banner Triple Punch and the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. I love the brick texture and see so many possibilities with it.  This card used the Banner Triple Punch not centered, but off set.
August Card Class 2015
Class included the swap I made for convention last month, a great masculine card, and the May Paper Pumpkin kit.  Everyone made 6 cards (2 of each), plus a gift bag from the May kit.

Supplies:  Early Espresso, Marina Mist, and Sahara Sand card stock, VersaMark ink and embossing powder, heat tool, Big Shot, Brick Wall Embossing Folder, Banner Triple Punch, Dimensionals.
You can also use gold and silver inks with the embossing powders.
Wanda's card from the June Shoebox Swap

This is the card I made to swap with other demonstrators at the Stampin'Up! Convention last month.  I loved using the Aqua Painter to color.  It's a fast way to get a watercolor look.  As an accent to give the flower some sparkle I colored the flower stamen with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Marker and then used 2-way glue with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The sparkle doesn't photograph well, but it looks beautiful to see it in person.

The Stamp set is Best Thoughts, it's one of the exclusive hostess stamps you can get when you host a qualifying workshop with sales of $150 or more.  Or you can place an order of $150 or more to earn this stamp set as part of your hostess Stampin' Rewards.
Supplies: Best Thoughts stamp set (hostess stamp set), Blackberry Bliss, Marina Mist and Whisper White card stock, Aqua Painter with Marina Mist, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz inks, 2-way glue, Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Marker, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Boho Chic Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Dimensionals.

My swap is on the left, see more about it on my post on July 24, HERE.

Card Class using May Paper Pumpkin kit

Today's card class had a little treat for the girls.  Instead of the usual plastic bag for the cards, they all got a gift bag from the May Paper Pumpkin kit 2015 with their cards.

Today's cards included the swap I made for convention last month, a great masculine card, and the May Paper Pumpkin kit card.
My swap is on the left, see more about it on my post on July 24, HERE.
On the right is a card idea from Brian King.  My friend Wanda shared this idea at a shoebox swap, and I loved the card.  Thanks Brian for a great card.
The card in front and the gift bag in the back are from the May 2015 Paper Pumpkin kit.  This kit was a fun birthday kit of 6 cards and 4 gift bags.  It took me a while to get mine out and make some, but when I was at convention I was able to buy an extra full kit and refill.

May 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit
Each guest put together 2 cards and a bag from the kit.  It was a fun way to try the kit and then everyone had a bag to put all their cards in when they were finished with class.

Hershey is waiting for everyone to come to class.  He likes to say hi to the girls when they come for class.
Gift bag has die cut balloon, tag and banner, plus balloon shaped openings in the bag.
I loved what Luci did with her cards, she changed it up a little.  I had some scraps of Watermelon Wonder card stock and Rhinestones on the table.  I love how she changed the cards.

If you like crafting, try a Paper Pumpkin kit.  Right now you can save on the kits when you subscribe by September 10.
