Candy Wrapper treats

I was playing with the Candy Wrapper Die and made some new Halloween projects.  I loved the Candy Wrapper Bats I made for the last 2 years, but thought I would change it up a bit.
These are easy treats to make for any occasion.  Have you seen my Candy Wrapper Bunnies for Easter?
I also made birds for the Air Force Football games and a Turkey for Thanksgiving.

Here are some other projects from my Halloween class.  Hope you enjoy.

The Bird Candy Wrapper

Every year we go to the Air Force Academy football games.  It's my dad's thing and has become a family thing.  It's a lot of fun to go to the games.  I have pictures every year of Ashley with The Bird and with the cheerleaders.  Here's a fun Candy Wrapper die project, with The Bird in mind.
We are going to another game this Friday night, "Go Air Force!"
These are easy treats to make for any occasion.  Have you seen my Candy Wrapper Bunnies for Easter?  Or the Candy Wrapper Bats I made for Halloween last year?
Supplies:  Pacific Point, Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White card stock, Scallop punches, Circle Punches, and Heart Punch, Paper Snips and Dimensionals.

Owl Punch Bat Card

I participated in a 3 x 3 card swap at the Stampin'Up! convention during the summer and got some wonderful ideas from that swap.  One of my favorite ideas was a sweet card that used the Owl Punch to make a bat.  I loved this idea, so I made it into a standard size card to offer as one of the projects at my Halloween class.

Here's the card I made for class.
Stamps:  Googly Ghouls (Holiday Catalog)
Paper:  Basic Black, Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso and Whisper White
Inks:  Basic Black Classic and Whisper White Craft ink
Googlies, Big Shot, 3 inch Circle die, 1/2 inch Circle Punch, White Gel Pen, Paper Snips, Stampin' Sponge, Dimensionals

Here's the wonderful 3 x 3 card that inspired me.  I was so sad to see there was no name inside this card, I wanted to give her credit.

More Shoebox Swap

While I was at the Stampin'Up! Convention in July I got together with some friends to do a shoebox swap.  It was fun to make everyone else's cards and have time to talk.  Mine had a lot of Big Shot work, so I cut all the dies at home and brought them.
Here are all the beautiful cards we made for our shoebox swap.  Everyone had wonderful ideas to share, and I am so happy to have made all these fun cards.
Thanks to Crista Bailey, Barbara Amberg, Kate Amberg, Jeane Havey, Jan Myers, Glenda Timkovich, and Jean Williams for all the fun projects we made.  And thank you Crista for organizing this fun time!  Love you all and thank you for including me in the fun.

I posted this photo a while back, but realized I had not gone back to share close up's of these fun projects.

Evergreen card

Here's a beautiful card from my friend Glenda.  She did this for our Holiday swap.  I loved the idea.  It's so beautiful, and with some minor changes, an easy card to mass produce for Holiday cards.
Do you want to make something similar to this?  Come to my stamp a stack card class this Sunday!  RSVP to attend.
I loved the splash of color with the Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.
This would make a great kit too.  Contact me to get kits, all the cutting and scoring is done, you do the stamping and put them together!  You will also need to purchase the Antique Brads, or smaller brads if you are mailing so you do not have to pay extra for postage.

Christmas Tree Card

I made this as a swap for the Stampin'Up! Denver Regional event, and I thought it would be perfect for my next class.
I love the set Lovely as a Tree, it's one of my "go to" stamp sets for Christmas cards.  I used glitter on the center tree so it stands out nicely.  I used the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark ink (Holiday catalog page 23) with the En Francais stamp set on the frame.  The photo does not do it justice since it is hard to see the sparkling script and the glitter on the tree.

This card would also be great as a kit!  Contact me if you would like a kit with all the cutting and scoring done, all you have to do is stamp and put it together.

Stamps:  Lovely as a Tree, En Francais
Paper:  Whisper White and Always Artichoke
Inks:  Always Artichoke, Illuminate Glimmer Watermark
Labels Collections Framelits, Always Artichoke Seam Binding, 2-way glue, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Dimensionals

Embossed Leaf Card

Here's a beautiful card, using heat embossing and resist.  My friend Gina made a wonderful card for our swap at the Stampin'Up! Denver Regional in September.  I just had to copy it for my Fall card class.
I used VersaMark and Clear Embossing Powder for the leaf.  Used my heat gun and after it was cool I stamped with En Francais in Crumb Cake.  Then I used a Stampin' Sponge to gently color around the leaf (soft circular motion with the sponge so it looks smooth, not patterned).  It really makes the leaf pop!
To see the other cards we made at my Fall Card Class click HERE.

Gina's card used the Crumb Cake Tulle Ribbon and Antique Brads.  I used the Crochet Trim Ribbon and on some the Antique Brads, on others I used Gold card stock with Black Embossing Powder, this way you can mail them with no extra expense.

Supplies:  Gently Falling and En Francais stamp sets, Core'dinations Card stock - Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake card stock, , Big Shot, Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Woodgrain, Sanding Block, 5/8" Crochet Trim, Antique Brads (or Gold card stock with Black Embossing powder and 3/4" Circle punch), Dimensionals.

Where's Tammie?

Hello everyone!  I am sorry, it's been a while since my last post.  I bet you are wondering where I have been?  I went with my family to Mazatlan Mexico for a week.  What a fun way to spend the time, and I loved the beach.  Sorry for such a gap in my posts.  I am rested and ready to stamp.  Look for more new posts this week!  And some photos from my fun trip too.

I got back and saw there were new items added to the Clearance Rack.  I always love seeing new things there.  The deals are great!  You can order online 24/7 to get these great deals through my website.  Be sure to check it out.

Fall Glitter Leaf card

I love the Champagne Glitter paper in the Holiday catalog!  Here's a fun card, I got the idea from Frenchie's blog.  Her upline Jill Olsen gave her a sweet 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch square card.  I loved the idea, so I did something like it for my Fall card class.
For me it was easiest to use some sticky strip on the back of the embossed paper since I was using such a small strip of the glitter paper along the bottom.
To see the other cards we made at my Fall Card Class click HERE.
Supplies:  Loving Thoughts stamp set, Core'dinations Card stock - Early Espresso, Naturals Ivory card stock, Gimmer Paper - Champagne, Big Shot, Autumn Accents Die, Textured Impressions Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade, Sanding Block, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Sticky Strip, Dimensionals.

Would you like to come to stamping events?  It's always a great time to become a demonstrator, you get a great discount, see the products and catalogs first, and there are tons of ideas an inspiration at your fingertips all the time!  I would love to have you join my group, contact me to get started!

Triple Layer Leaf Card

I have seen these cards all over the last few months, and I saw some beautiful ideas at Convention too.  So I thought I would make some myself.  My upline Tara even posted some great directions on her blog a little while back.  Even better, I could look at her directions to see how to do it.  What do you think?
It's hard to see in the photos, but I used my Stampin' Sprizter with Shimmer Paint at the end to spray the whole card.  It has a beautiful shimmer now.
Techniques I used were rock-n-roll and stamp off.  This was one of the cards I did for my Fall Card Class, see the other cards HERE.

  • LIGHTLY anchor the cardstock pieces together.  It doesn't matter how you line them up, straight or offset, it should work great.
  • Use just a little bit of Snail Adhesive in the center of each layer to hold them together (just a little bit!).
  • Begin by stamping the greeting.  It's easy to run out of space for your greeting once you get going with the stamping, so stamp your greeting first!
  • Then stamp larger image(s).
  • Repeat with remaining images and/or colors until the whole stack is stamped.
  • If you are going to emboss the layers DO NOT SEPARATE THE LAYERS YET!  I did not do that on this card, but I can't wait to try it!
  • You can run the layers through the Big Shot (yes all 3 together) with an embossing folder to give it texture.  But they have to go through together so the texture lines up.
  • Now separate the layers and attach each to the coordinating cardstock.  The colored card stock that completes each layer will hide the "gap" that appear around each one.
  • Embellish and pop up the layer and attach all three sections back together so the stamped design lines up.
Supplies:  French Foliage and Friendly Phrases stamp sets, Very Vanilla and Cajun Craze card stock, More Than Mustard, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and Soft Suede classic inks, Rhinestone Jewels and Snail Adhesive.
