July 2015 Paper Pumpkin Kit Cards

Paper Pumpkin kits are a fun way to get a little crafting in every month.  Sign up any time, if you sign up by the 10th of the month you'll receive that month's kit. Order on the 11th or later to receive the following month's kit.  

This summer I got a little behind on opening and making my kits.  With end of school, a new job, company, company, and more company, Stampin'Up! Convention, and a soccer tournament, it was a little busy.  But last week I finally pulled out my July kit!  I love the little tea cup!  

The kit has a great stamp set, 2 ink spots and all the supplies to make cards.  The only think I needed was some snail adhesive.  Well, I also used scissors since I stamped some cups on scraps of Whisper White card stock and cut out the cups.  The card on the left has one of the cups I stamped and cut out, while the one on the right has a die cut cup that I stamped on.

My March Paper Pumpkin Kit 2015

I was so excited when my March Paper Pumpkin kit arrived!  But… March was crazy for us.  Our family was getting ready for a trip to Florida for Spring Break, plus getting blog posts done ahead, and making sure I had customers taken care of for Sale-a-Bration too.  So I had to wait until we got back to make some fun cards.  

Do you want to try Paper Pumpkin?  It's fun and easy.  Just sign up by the 10th of the month to receive that month's kit in the mail.  Every month is different, and they are so fun to make.  I love that someone else put all the supplies together for me!  It comes with easy to follow directions, but just imagine all the fun you can have with these supplies.  Plus you can use the stamps over and over.

I saw photos of other peoples projects online, but it's not the same.  It's so much more fun to craft than to just look at pictures.  All though I do love looking at ideas on Pinterest.com.  You can see all my Pinterest pins on my Paper Pumpkin Board too.  I am always looking for fun and different ideas for Paper Pumpkin kits.

Here's the kit, look at all the stuff it comes with!  Makes 9 cards, and I love the Daffodil Delight Baker's Twine.  I stamped a few of the white bubble looking pieces first before sewing.

I have not done sewing like this since I was a kid.  I was not too sure if I wanted to sew my letters, but then again, I had to try.  The kit comes with a needle too!  

 It's been so long since I used a needle and thread I admit it took a while to thread my needle, but once I did it, I was on a roll.  It was fun and the directions made it so easy.  

 After sewing YOU, I glued down the white shape to the card, and finished it off with one of the fun epoxy shapes from the kit.  There it is, my card, just like the kit showed.  

Then I thought I would try a few without sewing.  So I used scraps of Daffodil Delight card stock behind the white shape. You could put any color you want behind, but I thought the Daffodil Delight popped nicely.  I love the Petite Petals Punch and the small flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, plus a few rhinestones for a little sparkle.  

These cards were fun to make.  I wonder what else I could do with this pack?

Hello Life Project Kit

I wanted to share a fun kit in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog, Hello Life Project Kit. My friend and downline Jeanne Treptow made this cute kit weeks ago.  When she showed me I just had to share it.  I love this fun kit.    

You can see this great kit on page 6 in the Occasions catalog.   

I didn't think much of this kit when I first saw it in the Occasions catalog.  Loved the stamp set, Hello Life, that coordinates.

But then I went to the Stampin'Up! Leadership Conference and saw this fun kit.  Okay, I bought it and I still need to make it, but I saw Jeanne's kit, and now I have to make this kit!!  I even have a place on the wall for it.  Just imagine the fun you can have making a kit like this.

I used the Memento Ink Pad, it's a great black ink pad that works so well with markers, or anytime you need a good black ink. It's made to work with the Blendabilities markers, but really I love it with any markers.
