Fun and Easy Treat Holders using the Envelope Punch Board

My friend Glenda showed me how to make these easy Treat Holders using the Envelope Punch Board.  I made some treats for friends and co-workers.
The Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper was great and easy to use to wrap around the box.  Then I decorated each with a little flower punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack (retiring) and the Bird Builder Punch (retiring).
The Treat Holders are easy to make with the Envelope Punch Board.
Using a 6" x 6" piece of card stock and the Punch Board measure and score at:
2-1/2" and punch, turn 90 degrees
1-1/2" and punch, turn 90 degrees
2-1/2" and punch, turn 90 degrees
1-1/2" and punch

When done go back and punch at each score line, so punches will be at 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" on each side.

Fold your score marks, and cut in one side of the small sides like in the picture. Fold in the tip of each of the small, narrow sides and glue to create the side walls of the treat holder.
Use the other side of the punch to round each corner.

Glue the tabs you cut earlier to attach the sides to make your holder.  Use a small circle punch to create handles for the treat holder.
Supplies: Crushed Curry, Old Olive and Whisper White card stocks, Cajun Craze ink, Envelope Punch BoardBotanical Gardens Designer Series Paper (retiring), Rhinestones, Dimensionals and Snail adhesive.

Here another sample of boxes using different paper. I just love Blackberry Bliss.

The Botanical Gardens Product Suite offers lots of beautiful coordinating products.  Plus there is a bundle of the dies and stamp set to give you 15% off!

The Botanical Builder Framelits Dies are so fun, and work so well with my Big Shot!  I also used paper from the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper

Here are some close ups of the projects Carrie showed in the video.

To make the tiny envelopes for the card, use 2" x 2" square of the Envelope Paper, score on the diagonal and then snip the points where the score marks meet.  Fold and you have tiny envelopes!

More Shoebox Swaps

Here are some more ideas I shared at my Stampin'Up! Open House at the beginning of October.
The projects shown in this post are from the August Shoebox Swap at Tara's house.  We had a great time making each others projects, and I came home with new ideas.

I love this card!  My friend Glenda made it.  So fun and easy!!  We used the Envelope Punch Board to make the card, glued down the center pieces, and I love how she added the Butterfly Punch and silver ribbon.  It made it so elegant.  Can you imagine making this into a Holiday card, or how great would this be as a gift card holder?

This sweet card was Angela's card, I love the stamp set, it's a hostess set, so if you host a workshop or place an order of $150 or more you can order this as part of your hostess dollars.
Here's the whole stamp set, too cute.
See all the Stampin' Rewards sets you can choose as part of your hostess dollars HERE.

Masking Tape!  Yes, that is a technique, and this card is a great example.  How do you do it?   It's so easy, here's the how…

MASKING TAPE TECHNIQUE:
Take a strip of masking tape, ink it on your ink pad, and then put it on your paper.
I had never done this before, and now I cannot wait to do it again.  I inked my masking tape and then gently laid it on my Whisper White card stock.  I started from the top and worked my way down.  I lightly ran my finger along the tape while it was on the paper, then gently pulled the tape back off the paper.  Be careful not to ripe your paper by pulling to fast or pressing your tape down too hard.  The harder you press your tape to the paper the darker your ink will be. So you can really very the effect.
For this card we used Pistachio Pudding ink, Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.  What a soft wonderful effect.

Here's a photo of all the cards from the Shoebox Swap.  Love the ideas!

Hope you enjoyed all the ideas.  Come back for more!

Envelope Punch Board

Envelope Punch Board
It's here!!! Use this creativity-boosting tool to create anything from itty bitty to long and skinny envelopes!  The possibilities are endless.

Watch this video to all the great features!

Available NOW!

At convention, I saw Shannon West "pushing the envelope" with the new Envelope Punch Board. Why go with boring, white, normal-sized envelopes when you can use colorful paper to create everything from itty bitty to long and skinny? This is an amazing new addition to the line of Stampin' Up! products!

Supplies are running low, so it's on back order for now (hurry!  This could change and they may turn off the number until supply has been built back up, like the Magnetic Platform) so you may still order it, and it will be shipped to you later in October.

Why purchase from me?  Well, you get informative training so utilize me.  Plus, if you put together orders from friends (minimum $150 subtotaled orders), you will receive fabulous Hostess Benefits!

But wait there's more...
  • It creates totally customizable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes (not to mention a million different color and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
  • It's super easy to use; it will go over as a huge wow when you see it in action. It looks intimidating at first glance, but when you see that all you have to do is measure for the first punch and from there it's  just turn and score you'll go crazy (in a good way).
  • It's small and lightweight; this makes it easy for you to take it with you to a crop or crafting with friends, it's super portable and easy to store. It's small and light enough that you could use it while watching a soccer match, at a park, at a friend's for craft night-anywhere.
  • It even has a slick scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes.
  • It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have a bunch of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!).
  • The price is terrific-especially for a tool that does so much!
  • It will be in next year's annual catalog, so it's here to stay.
