Even More Shoebox Swaps

Here are some more ideas I shared at my Stampin'Up! Open House at the beginning of October.
The projects shown in this post are from the August Shoebox Swap at Tara's house.  We had a great time making each others projects, and I came home with new ideas.
This great bag was Tara's project.  I love these Petite Cafe Gift Bags in the Stampin'Up! Holiday catalog.  Not sure if you can see it in the photo, but we spritzed the bags to make them sparkle.
The Stampin' Spritzer is perfect for giving any project some extra sparkle.  Use 70% alcohol with a few drops of your favorite color and spritz away. It's only $2.95 for 2.  The bags have a texture too, the On Point Embossing Folder and a fun texture on these bags.  Have you seen the Festival of Trees Photopolymer Bundle in the Holiday catalog?  The stamp set and coordinating punch are great for holiday projects.

Janet made this fun card.  Love all the geometric shapes.

This fun card was from Andrea, I loved the different textures from the Embossing Folders.  We used Stampin' Markers on the flower, then huffed on it (breathe on it before stamping).  We used the Pansy Punch to punch out the flower and place it on top.

Here's a photo of all the cards from the Shoebox Swap.  Love the ideas!

Hope you enjoyed all the ideas.  Come back for more!

More Shoebox Swaps

Here are some more ideas I shared at my Stampin'Up! Open House at the beginning of October.
The projects shown in this post are from the August Shoebox Swap at Tara's house.  We had a great time making each others projects, and I came home with new ideas.

I love this card!  My friend Glenda made it.  So fun and easy!!  We used the Envelope Punch Board to make the card, glued down the center pieces, and I love how she added the Butterfly Punch and silver ribbon.  It made it so elegant.  Can you imagine making this into a Holiday card, or how great would this be as a gift card holder?

This sweet card was Angela's card, I love the stamp set, it's a hostess set, so if you host a workshop or place an order of $150 or more you can order this as part of your hostess dollars.
Here's the whole stamp set, too cute.
See all the Stampin' Rewards sets you can choose as part of your hostess dollars HERE.

Masking Tape!  Yes, that is a technique, and this card is a great example.  How do you do it?   It's so easy, here's the how…

MASKING TAPE TECHNIQUE:
Take a strip of masking tape, ink it on your ink pad, and then put it on your paper.
I had never done this before, and now I cannot wait to do it again.  I inked my masking tape and then gently laid it on my Whisper White card stock.  I started from the top and worked my way down.  I lightly ran my finger along the tape while it was on the paper, then gently pulled the tape back off the paper.  Be careful not to ripe your paper by pulling to fast or pressing your tape down too hard.  The harder you press your tape to the paper the darker your ink will be. So you can really very the effect.
For this card we used Pistachio Pudding ink, Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar.  What a soft wonderful effect.

Here's a photo of all the cards from the Shoebox Swap.  Love the ideas!

Hope you enjoyed all the ideas.  Come back for more!

Fall Glitter Leaf card

I love the Champagne Glitter paper in the Holiday catalog!  Here's a fun card, I got the idea from Frenchie's blog.  Her upline Jill Olsen gave her a sweet 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch square card.  I loved the idea, so I did something like it for my Fall card class.
For me it was easiest to use some sticky strip on the back of the embossed paper since I was using such a small strip of the glitter paper along the bottom.

Fall Cards

It was another busy weekend at our house, but I was so excited about the Fall cards from my class last week that I had to post something about it.  These are the 3 cards the girls made at class, they could make 6 or 12 cards at class.  Loved them all!
With all the Soccer practice, Soccer game, Girl Scout training (for me, I am now not only the Cookie Manager for the troop, but also Co-Troop Leader), and some other fun things I only had time to do a quick post tonight.  Look for more details on these wonderful cards this week, and where I got all the great ideas too!
Going left to right the first is a Triple Layer card--you might have seen lots of this type of card all over the blogs the last few months, it's my first attempt.  Next is the embossed leaf--my friend Gina made a wonderful card for a group swap at Regionals the other week.  Autumn Accents die cut card--I saw a great card on Frenchie's blog that her upline made, it was a fun 4x4 card, but I did mine in a more standard size.

See the more about the Triple Layer Card HERE.

Hope you enjoy!
