Easy Scallop Tap Topper Treats

My friend Jan made some fun treats at the Stamp Camp in March and it reminded me how much I enjoy making these sweet little treats.  I've made so many different versions of these treats.  I made these treats to thank co-workers for helping with an event I did recently.
Easy Treat Holders using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch
I used the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper in the Occasions catalog for these treats with the Label Me Pretty stamp set (in Wood or Clear).

This treat holder really is so easy to make!  Use the Scallop Tag Topper Punch with paper that is just under 2 inches wide.  Score 2 score marks 1 inch apart in the middle and punch both ends.  There are many candies and chocolates that will fit in the 1 inch area.   Then tie it closed with a pretty ribbon.
HINT:  Use a glue dot to hold the candy in place.

I used the 1-1/4" Circle Punch with the saying, and the Layering Circle Framelits Dies for the Basic Black and Sugarplum circles.

The treats are tied off with ribbon and bakers twine at the top.  These treats are so easy to put together, you should try some.

Coffee Break Swap Card

Look, it's another great swap card, this one is from my friend Jeanne Treptow.
This summer we swapped some fun card ideas from the Stampin'Up! annual catalog.  I guess I forgot to post a bunch of these, so I am catching up now.
I love, love, love this coffee set!
The cute little cups on this card are from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (DSP), and one of the dies works great with these.  Jeanne made additional white cups and layered them behind the DSP cups to give them more of a fancy embellished look.

The Coffee Cafe Stamp Set and Coffee Cups dies are in the Stampin'Up! catalog.  You can buy the bundle and save 10% or by them individually.

More High Tide Cards

If you saw my post yesterday, then you saw one of the cards we made in June  for card class.  I was on a roll with this type of card, and had fun making Father's Day cards too. I know, I know, it's way past Father's Day!  But time got away from me, and I love these cards so much I just had to share any way.

We have red adirondack chairs on our deck, with a nice view of the valley. That is what  inspired this card.  Just imagine sitting on the deck looking out at the valley.  So relaxing. This was a card for my husband, so even on a cold day you can look at this card and enjoy the view.

These are the cards I made for our dads.
And I love the light from the lighthouse on the inside too.

The original idea for these card came from an idea I saw on Pinterest from Lynn Starzl.  I loved what she did with the High Tide stamp set and Colorful Seasons Bundle.

Here's my version of Lynn's card.  I love how she combined the High Tide stamp set with the Colorful Seasons Bundle.  The stamp set gives you all the seasons, plus that adirondack chair die is my favorite!!

Colorful Seasons Bundle:  Colorful Seasons photopolymer stamp set and Seasonal Layers Framelits Thinlits Dies  145348  $54.00 - save 10% when you buy the bundle!

TIPS AND TRICKS:  Use a Post-It note for your horizon line where the ocean and sky meet.  I used a 1" circle punch on a Post-It for the sun, first using the circle as a mask to sponge the sky, then I used the hole I had punched out of the Post-It as a reverse mask to sponge in the yellow.

TIPS AND TRICKS:  More sponging!  I love the look you can get from sponging ink on card stock.  When you are sponging onto the Whisper White and Very Vanilla card stock you can blend in the ink colors by going in soft, small circles with your sponge. Not too hard, just hard enough to blend the inks so you loose the texture from the sponge.  It can blend the colors to give it a smooth and soft look.

High Tide CASEd cards

I really love the High Tide stamp set!  I saw a card on Pinterest in May from Lynn Starzl that I just fell in love with!  I copied it, and made so many variation, and of course offered that card design at one of my June card classes.

This beautiful 4-1/4" x 4-1/4" card can also make a great 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card too.
Less stamping on this one, just fun with sponging.
TIPS:  Using Post-It notes to mask areas as you go gives these cards a great feel.
Wish I was by the ocean enjoying this view!

Funny thing, I was so in love with the front of Lynn's card, that I did not realize her's was a fun fold card!!  What?  Well, now I need to try some more cards and use her layout.

Hope you enjoyed these cards, they were so fun to make and everyone at class fell in love with them.  While the stamping may take a little time, it is so fun and gives such great results!
