Circle Card Thinlit Card, From the Herd

Here's a fun card I made for a co-worker when she was leaving.  I used the From the Herd stamp set from Stampin'Up! This is just one of the fun stamps in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog. 

From the Herd is available in wood, clear or photopolymer stamps.

The Circle Card Thinlits Die is so great for making moveable cards.  It comes with 10 dies and gives you tons of fun making cards. 
The Hardwood stamp (available in wood or clear) gives a great woodgrain look and it's perfect for these animals.

Nothing says "happy birthday" like a herd of party animals. They're also great at saying "feel better soon." This set is filled with great sayings, so have fun with it.

The Circle Card Thinlits Die is so great for making moveable cards.  It comes with 10 dies and gives you tons of fun making cards. 
TIP:  The die is made to cut off the card at 6" wide, but if you slip the card stock above the last line so it does not cut off you get a score mark and a longer card like this one.  This card is 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" instead of 5-1/2" x 6".

Thanksgiving Turkey Card

I love Stampin'Up! punches and dies.  This card is just one of the many reasons why.  I saw a great video on YouTube that Tami White did showing how to make this fun turkey card.  I loved it and thought it would be fun to make some for my family.  

I hope you all have a very happy Thanksgiving!!

These fun cards are CASEd (copy and share everything) from Tami.  I loved the way she made them.  

Story behind the cards… I punched out the shapes and used the die for the flip cards ahead of time.  Then while Bruce was driving our family to Steamboat Springs for the week I was sponging and putting the turkeys together in the car. It's amazing how much you can get done with a little prep.  Had a good trip up, though Rabbit Ears Pass was a little scary in the snow storm, low visibility.  Made to Steamboat safely and it has snowed over 2 feet! The snow is beautiful to watch and I brought my November Paper Pumpkin Kit.  So after we finish the giant puzzle it's time for more crafting.  Hope you all enjoy your week!  

To make the turkey you will need the Owl Punch, Bird Punch and Modern Label Punch.

Use the bird body and the wing from the Bird Punch.
Turn your bird upside-down and cut a straight line from the head to the tail, you will cut off the long part of the tail.
Use the foot from the Owl Punch for the end cap of your turkey leg.
Use the Modern Label Punch, cut in half to make the roasting pan.
Sponge the edges of all your punch pieces.
Attach the small foot to the pointed end of the wing to make your drumstick.
Use a dimensional to attach to the turkey body.
Place your turkey body on to the Scalloped Circle (Very Vanilla) then the roasting pan (Cajun Craze).

Soccer Coach Cards

It's time for end of the season cards and gifts for the coaches for Ashley's soccer team.  Here's the fun cards I made, one for each coach.  I got the idea from someone on Pinterest, they had a great basketball card, with a wood floor.  Loved the idea, so here's what I came up with.  

To make the soccer ball I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die (in the Stampin'Up! Occasions catalog, and it will also be in the new annual catalog!!).  I used a piece of Basic Black with the die, then glued it to a piece of Whisper White card sock.  The 2-1/2"Circle Punch works great for the middle of the Circle Card Thinlits circle shape.

 Back view and front view with card flatten out to see the whole thing.  I tore Pacific Point card stock and glued it to the green card stock BEFORE I put the card stock through the Big Shot with the Circle Thinlit Die.  To make the card longer when using this die leave the end of your paper hanging out above the die so it does not get cut off.

March Card Class Birthday Cards

Finally,it's time to get back to card classes and other fun stamping!  It's been months since I was able to offer a class (my dad was staying with us while he recovered) so I am really excited for this class.  

These fun birthday cards are all part of my card class on Saturday, March 15, in Lakewood, CO.  RSVP to attend if you are in town -- My Calendar

The little candles are really easy to make (card on the left), use a square of Designer Series Paper, 1-1/2" x 1-1/2", roll it up, use sticky strip on the edge to hold it in place.  Then a dab of Multipurpose Liquid Glue with Baker's Twine stuck inside of the roll to look like a candle. The card has a fun fold, just like the other two.  I love these cards!

Top card is a Circle Card Thinlits Die (idea from Karen Fontinelle), and the card on the right is a fun fold card from Mary Fish.  I'll get close-ups of each card posted later for you.

Thinlits Happy Watercolor card

I love the Happy Watercolor stamp set, here's a card I just love.  I used the Circle Card Thinlits Die with my Big Shot to make this beautiful card.  Shop online anytime through my stampinup store HERE.  

Here's the card closed.  I used the Flower Garden Embossing Folder on the last fold, love how well it works with the stamped image.  I love Blender Pens!  They work so well with this stamp set, it makes the flowers look like they were painted, but it's just Blender Pens and ink.  

Here's the card folded out.  To get a longer card when using the Thinlits Card Die, slide the extra card stock over the top of the end of the die, instead of cutting it off, it scores it and you have a longer card to fold out.  Card measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".
